They're trading at these low levels for good reason, which is why I sold my entire holding shortly after the CR3 RNS (around 300k shares at an average of ~10.5p).
The risk profile has become too high. The debt burden is now massive, decline rates are a serious concern, and there’s no quick fix to turn the company around. While I’m hopeful it can limp along until 2027, when the operating environment should improve significantly with higher gas prices, the current risk is further dilution at a price well below current levels.
With gold and oil prices where they are, there are simply far more compelling opportunities elsewhere right now. GGP is already up 20%, HEX is performing well, and PTAL looks primed for gains if higher oil prices are sustained.
I held my TXP position far too long, hoping for a turnaround, when I should have diversified. I’ll revisit the stock in early 2027, but until then, I see it as a high-risk position offering very little near-term reward.
