It’s v strange some selling off again. There will obviously be something to update this month even if it’s not groundbreakingly spectacular. FG won’t leave everyone hanging a month after he said ‘any day now’.

I still think there is a possibility of a ‘Rescue deal’ words the Guardian used on Monday (again lumped in with the Benson beds purchase of Eve) If there are several companies in talks then one of those could provide the other option mentioned ‘Emergency investment’. Anything is possible, now they have made it official and being more proactive to save the company rather than go to the wall.

Now I’m reflecting on this I am not sure about the realism of everything. We here/I have been presuming a deal will happen like 90%+ due to there bing interested parties. Now it’s got me thinking more possibilities of others that it may be difficult to achieve. 70/80% is not really good enough if you invested heavily. As many of us have said it is a wee gamble!

I’m more 70/30 (for a deal or finance/merger)

The only thing I do recognise is; it would have been a monumental heart wrenching decision to let your established company go if you felt there was light at the end. They know what they are doing and unable to make it through the next 6mths. So I think the buyer will be a well funded company, prepared to lose initially, in order to substantially profit when we get through the worst of the economic climate in maybe 12mths/long term say.

Another one seems forever discussing future happenings.

Going concern - on the buy out. Which is why they’ve scaled right back beforehand. Didn’t I read a third of staff already gone. Warehouse sites reduced etc. anyone will likely not have an issue with the 6mth rule, it’s always included in their own projections whilst negotiating. Fortunately Made have been open.

Poor shareholders, I know it’s no comparison to the strength of Made.com but all the same a shame. Can be a reality check to some, things don’t always come good.
