Interesting to read the above: “There was no obvious reason for this capital raise at 10p a share.... however when you look a bit closer..Following issue of new shares to Enkhmaa Davaanyam, Petrovis Matad Inc, it’s shareholders and family will hold ..... shares. Just a shame the Company didn’t issue the other 62% of shares to their extended family.... their existing shareholders”. IMO We can clearly see who this placing is directed at enriching and it clearly is not private investors.
Spainish, great to have you on board; a breath of fresh air, common sense, genuine experience and understanding. Outstanding first few posts and support from the most respected of posters 2010PM. Suggest people listen carefully to what you are saying. It makes eminent sense.
JH rest assured there is only one person in charge here and it is not Mike Buck. It is Enkhmaa Davaanyam. This being Mongolia it is run by Mongolians irrespective of what you might think. She has been in charge for the last three years at least. It is therefore not a “New Board”, merely an altered one with a titular head in the form of MB. Do not be fooled into thinking this leopard has fully changed its spots.
Bladderman. You misunderstand. I very much rate the opportunity here and have done for many years now. That does not excuse those in charge of delivering the opportunity not doing the best by their investors, of which I am one and have been for many years. This is not a case of like or dislike. It is a case of good governance and investor relations. I admit this is an AIM company with limited experience. It does not however preclude them from learning and adopting best practice.
HoofHated, where is the comms person now? Not heard a peep from him since the $16m was raised. I understand Manro e-mailed him recently. Was there any reply Manro? Seems to have retreated into the woodwork now they have their money!
I beg to differ Loz, what we need is solid, reliable and timely communications from the company. This has been in short supply. Only this will restore severely damaged market confidence. Respected companies place communications at the centre of their strategy, ensuring that their shareholders are kept fully up to date. It appears MATD has still not perfected this, leaving the market sceptical and the share price in the doldrums.
