George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
I stumbled across JAY earlier in the year, but discounted it initially. Having read several articles about the breakthrough energy fund and KoBold, it seemed like a good time to get in. I have a small position in here to help me monitor it.
I wonder if the billionaire backed fund hype will carry this higher in time?

Wadogara Looked at my holding this morning...thought the same thing! I'm sure there will still be the odd sell to punctuate the day, but we do seem to be motoring now!
Indeed, ypu are right, I just read it the other day with my BOIL hat on.
I think critical metals are going to be in demand for a long time now. Having watched Guy Martin hoon about in EVs the other day, even his little demo of how an electric motor works using a coffee mug involved a fair bit of Cu.
Also all the bluster over the bezos/gates backed breakthrough energy fund getting involved with Kobold metals and JAY. Clear indicators that the demand to extract these resources is going to go beyond hype and speculation.
Slightly disappointed to see this dip short term, but the journey to copper here has just begun...let's hope to see outstanding results as the drilling progresses.
Going to sit back and await further news flow.
Despite the poor performance here...hydrogen certainly making the headlines..

I think we are very early to the party. Too early perhaps, but hopefully proton may improve in time. Especially if investors are starting to search for Hydrogen plays.
It appears the sellers may still be around, however they don't seem to be quite a desperate as before...hopefully as we progress towards September we may find the buys outway the sells in a more meaningful manner.
Still cheap down here! I'm off to look at some dubious mining stocks in the interim.
I see the RNS drop quite regularly now... unless it's something that requires champagne and a the need to book a lambo test drive, there are always sells. Some selling the news, some clearly in for a meteoric rise and disappointed. Good news for investors not enough news for traders, perhaps?
HEMO clearly a malfunction, typically at this point we should blame the omniscient MMs.
I added a small tranche of 14.5 k units just now, couldn't resist, I know I could have bought cheaper a few days ago, but needed to see it going on the right direction first.
No major newsflow that I can find from Love Hemp group. I have noticed that CBX are now close to releasing a product line and they have added ingestibles to their range, so they are going to go head to head with LH at some point. Wont be releasing products until December mind. I like to keep an eye on the competition, not a cross ramp.
Every day this week I have spat my coffee out as the paper losses deplete rapidly here. I've gone from 1.5k in the hole to about £500 in the whole.... in 2 days.
I think we are like thundercats now...on the move!
We do seem to be headed north now after a period of sell down that felt like an eternity. If you wanted to add or get it, this may be a time to review your position. I'm considering one last top up.
Did somebody say lithium?!?!?! Well that would be very exciting!
I'm in KOD and SAV for Li, I'm in here and CCZ for Cu.... if they find lithium at levels that make economic sense to extract this could be quite the place to be.
Asian market next door, safe country, no military coups to worry about. Could be very interesting. I wont get too ahead of myself, pure speculation at the moment.
It's far from dead in here today so I thought I'd change the title...
Mansons some businesses go out and solve problems and sell innovative solutions, be it in product or system form. However entertainment focussed businesses are all about audience. E sports is nothing without an audience. Once they have that audience it's time to sell them things, but also get them while they are young and see if you can create a life long consumer.
Let's not dismiss that esports will also appeal to older demographics who grew up with gaming and are still passionate about it today.
I agree merch is not always a bug money spinner, just another revenue stream, it will also give Gild the start of a team uniform. At the moment though it's all very vista print, so as time progresses we may see improved merch and branding tie ups.
One thing we are yet to see come online is live events I think this will be really interesting to see how lucrative this aspect may be...
I remember watching this documentary years ago about the scene in Korea... https://youtu.be/UksbnbWjbPs
In my view this entire business is based around selling things to an audience. Yes there maybe some nice squishy ethical bits like the academy looking after mental health etc...
But really this is about getting a young audience, capturing their imagination, attention and ambition and using that to sell them products. Call me cynical, but that's the way it's been since I was a child.
I have a nostalgic and emotional connection to Optimus Prime, but Hasbro just wanted to sell me toys!
Works for some esports teams...
https://esportsinsider.com/2021/08/wolves-partners-with-monster-energy-includes-esports-sponsorship/
Reminds me I actually suggested an Esports CBD line to Alexis Abraham due to the Beck connection, to help ease carpal tunnel sundrome... I wonder if that'll ever materialize? ....
The Guild logo is great, the website is well put together as you would expect. The t shirt IMO is underwhelming.
As TTP says, they have more than one opportunity to release merch. I think if they focus on the core of gaming and sponsorship, they may have more cash to throw at graphic artists and apparel design later on.
I can see more targeted merch such as licenced auxiliaries. You can imagine the Trust or logitech Guild edition/series as product line.
For example on startup there could be an LED that projects the Guild logo onto the desk surface etc...
Loads of opportunities for brand affiliation, energy drinks are a must aswell. If we could land a deal with a branded drink like Relentless or Monster that would be gold standard!
Agree with that outlook Pokerchips, I noticed this part of the website a while ago.

Revolution beauty and many other companies do the same thing, it seems influencers have just as much clout as mainstream celebrities nowadays...if not more.
In regard to offers, I think this is a good way to get more people to sign up and create accounts, which in turn increases the mailing list. Which may translate into more sales longer term and possibly impulse buys from reminders and promotions. I think once you start using CBD it becomes a lot like drinking coffee (but in reverse)
Morning all, yes great news about the 3rd party approval. Noticed I am slightly less of a bag holder today. As MJe mentioned think the sellers might be done....for now...
Fingers crossed for main market in September all to play for!
BTW pokerchips how are you positioned? Are you in yet or still monitoring the situation?
All the best!
