Like the article JPJPJP. some of thse take a bit of finding. What else do you know about FIF it seems to be on the trend upwards. Lets hope that the shares have been bought long term and won't be sold the moment a small profit has been made!!!!
Thats the second big chunk they have bought! I wonder what they know that the speculators of old don't?
before christmas. The Gold fish need feeding. Gone into SSE and NG. for a bit of income recently. What is a "worked" sell?
at this price could UNIQ be a good buy? Who sold 3% of the issued shares and what are they going to buy?
On the up lets hope for some dividend these were originally bought for their yield!
more buys than a normal days trades. "Byso_g" you wanted an interesting day!! THIS IS ONE. Promptly at noon the price went down and they all jumped in but the price never went up it closed at it the noon SP. I ask whether this isn't really interesting any answers? 450,000 bought and 67,000 sold and the price went down - that is just weird. DYOR
upwards I'm holding at an average of 10.57 pence but bought some at 28.5 and want to see these double. Can "Byso_g" explain his day now its gone by? Googles logo is one thing but the graph looks more like a skimming stone pattern. Lets hope the czars speak well I am sure thats what will happen in the end as its in everyones interest: Shareholders Pensioners and the hard working staff who are pushing the company onwards and upwards. Maybe tomorrow will be interesting!!!
again on the gentle up slope. Hope the dividend is back on the 30th the goldfish need feeding.!
Momentum buyers will be back on Monday. It looks like the week of the 7thJuly punters needed to consolidate their 40 to 60% gain. Oh! The fickleness of the market! Still they will be back for more cake on Monday and sell out again in 3 or so weeks! I feel the trend is now firmly upwards and time will tell when the turn round really starts to happen. The ladies at work are buying more cakes for sillier excuses it’s all about the little luxuries that keep us all going but don’t cost too much this year. So pile in and above all DYOR - don’t rely on mine. This looks like the year of the small affordable purchases not the TV sets and cars, so cakes should be “in”.
Hope for better times, I was in as 27 while looking for good dividends like many punters on this share. I too feel that recovery will come and with it the dividend may be reinstated but I am concerned that the directors may cure the company but kill the SP by keeping the dividend low and retaining cash to build better reserves. Tis would ruin a good pension punt. Any thoughts?
Good news is that people are buying the shares. The SP is behaving strangley but this often happens with small caps. as there is not enough data for good averages and .... excuses. For me its a question of just hold on as I feel I made the right choice. Have a look a t the results and above all DYOR and see how well this firm is doing and how its meeting the directors targets always a sign of good/ safe management.
Some good news from results QUOTE: Bread and Free From Division sales continued to grow strongly throughout the year with growth of 9.3%, after adjusting for acquisitions and the additional week of trading in the prior year. Underpinning this growth was the successful national roll out of the Genius Free From fresh bread brand. The prior year's acquisition of Goswells speciality breads, including the Vogel brand, drove growth to 16.5% including the acquisition. We have continued to make good progress in improving our internal efficiencies whilst investing further in areas of growth and our management teams. This has allowed us to manage through this recessionary period of declining sales and volatile input prices whilst meeting market expectations and operating fully within existing banking facilities. Negotiations have also been satisfactorily concluded with deferred consideration parties to reschedule some £5m due in the first quarter of our new financial year over the period to March 2012. This relaxes our cash requirements and improves our ability to invest in the businesses growth opportunities.
Good results can be seen here: http://www.uniq.com/news/press-releases/results-for-half-year-ended-30-june-2010/ Looks good and I feel sure we will see better still next quarter. IMO
As in all things both sides wish to win. This case is unusual because both sides depend on each other if either side fails to complete a good settlement the collapse becomes bad for both sides. The company needs freedom and space to make profit the pensioners, staff and shareholders all need this. Consquentialy the regulator will not hold out to the point where we all loose. He has to seek the best solution for the pensioners (that is money going into the fund, which means the company must actually have the freedom and space to make money. It is the size and extent of this freedom that is being negotiated against a set of rules (ie safety Constraints for the pensioners) . It is not a large leap in logic to realize that this is also in the interests of the staff and shareholders. Let the management work for us, stop panicing and wait for the good news on the 22nd. Above all stop carping and just let them work together.
Good increase in SP. Who suddenly has faith, mind you the trades look different to the vol sold and bought in the days stats. Any observations? Any one out there? The yeild on this share is great lets hope it comes in.
Hi Sipper, your 10 years surprises me. Factory kit moves on very fast nowadays like technology. Even our little mail order firm writes off most improvement spends over 3 years or less if the the tax man will allow it. I that my oil and software industry experiences pushing me to write off faster than I need to? When we buy into technology we need to know it will yeild fast and and allow us to buy into the next improvement out of profits yielded in years 3 4 and maybe 5 thing seem to move so fast nowadays. Have I just got hooked on quick write off? Buying in has dangers as there are staff and training and the whole kit and Cabboodle yeilding differently than expected or taking longer to develope than expected!!! ( like all projects). Am I wrong to look for fast write off and low profit in the first 2/3 years? What's your accounting opinion of my targeting?
still Ok. but missed the low point for a topup but as my collection started at 4.7p I am ok and holding for the long term. My hearsay on Ministerley is better than you indicate. They are cutting costs and getting new production equipment and have a great new demo Kitchen project which may already be up and running and producing results. Iguess where new gear goes in the profit depends on how fast the write off is. In the oil industry we always tried to pay off new production facilities and marketing efforts in two years!
Quote from last interim results Finsbury Food Group plc (AIM: FIF), a leading manufacturer of cake, bread and morning goods, is pleased to announce its interim results for the 26 weeks to 2 January 2010. § Sustained level of profitability § Strong growth in Bread and Free From § Continued focus on driving operational efficiencies § Continued investment and integration
Over 3 times more bought than sold, what goes on?
Hopfully July 15 is the day when we see how well they are doing - only 22 days to go!!!
