Spike912, Newmont have signed a strategic partnership deal with OMI with a $30m spending commitment PLUS paying OMI $4m cash to top it up for securing first refusal...it's not just casual browsing across Anza land package. They are funding OMI to commercial production and picking ALL costs. Another thing, it's well more worthy of a gold mine, why else would Newmont pay 100% premium to get in and after making 15-20 site visits to satisfy themselves. They probably wanted lot more than 19.9% and were restricted by company OR Newmont would have taken over Whole of Anza on the cheap. Same as 'Buritica' where Newmont also were restricted to only 19.9%. Continental Gold ceo openly said....if they want to buy us out, then they will have to pay for ALL the Upside. This will get very interesting in 2019.

I agree with AGEOS. Technical report should provide lot more details. They have drilled 71 holes so far and maiden resource Update is outstanding and was originally planned for last year. You get multiple resource updates throughout the drill campaign. Buritica has a new mineral resource Update due in H1 of 2019 to reflect further gold they found. It's on ongoing basis as far as I understand it. Subsequent Gold discoveries get added to the previous 'Mineral resource' estimate. Secondly, Newmont not going to sit on their hands. They would be looking to fast track Phase 1 drilling programme starting most likely in Jan 2019.

Happy for OMI and Newmont go after other high grade deposits within ANZA. Resource Update will come when it comes. Just need to look at 'Buritca' gold deposit next door where also Newmont has 19.9% stake. Look at how fast Continental Gold price went from C$1.50 to C$5.66 a share.

For 3.7m ounces at $1300 Gold only 50km north of Anza as per latest feasibility report. Did not happen overnight, but value realisation takes time. At $1200 Gold price drops to NPV $860m. AISC $492....lowest around. These Gold deposits seem to be very very profitable even at $1000 Gold price. I just want my next years Turkey to be very fat......lol

Well it might sound like a ramp....but 10 bag at 60p only gives you £90m MCap which would still be very low in my view for Anza high grade Gold deposit. Ggp got to £90m MCap last year when Newmont was just surveying EG site.

I see this as 10-15 bigger minimum in 2019. Use this period to get in coz it could make a move Up without warning. Gold back at $1260 and rising. Gold at $1500 in 2019 as forecasted by many market watchers would put the price here to a totally new bracket. Anza is potentially over +5m deposit in my opinion and that might be at the low end. Gold & Silver could storm higher without notice.

AGEOS, Like your thinking. Newmont has shown pretty aggressive stance by taking stakes in 3 highly lucrative gold deposits on the Mid-cauca Gold rich belt...Buritica, ANZA, Lyra. $18 Billion MCap Newmont, could swallow all 3 gold deposits at a fraction relative to its size. Newmont bought Miramar Mining for $1.5B within 23 months after buying their original Equity stake in Miramar. Miramar also restricted Newmont to 19.9% Equity in first 4 years of their deal, but Newmont did not wait 4 years. DeJaVu....I can see repeat of Miramar here.

Waymar Resources (previous owner) in one of their presentations had identified a 40 sq.km prospective Gold mineralisation area. What we have seen so far drilled at APTA could be part of that 40 sq.km Gold mineralisation zone that was identified by Waymar Resources and it is high grades Gold. From memory it was on the lines of: 10km (North > South) 4km (East > West) Will try to dig out more details on this.

Spike912, I have always maintained, that drilling plans for Anza would come out soon after the Technical report. The report should also highlight the most prospective drill zones & targets. We already know the areas OMI would be looking to tap into, in addition to continuing beyond the 400 metres depth of mineralisation already been hit. Whole 7km strike along Aragon fault has confirmed presence of Gold. This alone looks to be a very big deposit if they can confirm 7000 metres x 400 metres.

Yep. Fed rate decision today. Market expects rate hike today but caution advised on future rate hikes. Dollar is going lower. Buritica Gold deposit is the best proxy for Anza. Market needs to start valuing Anza accordingly. That's why resource Update is the first step towards proper valuation along with further drilling in 2019.

I am expecting £100m MCap next year minimum. Anza looks to be +5m oz at the low end in my opinion.

Resource Update should be the start. Then we can do peer comparison for MCap. Drilling campaign should provide proper re-rate
