I placed an order for another 50k shares after the 10% drop yesterday.. didn't get any because of the 10% rise today 😅

Really looking forward to the next update regarding any of those projects.

Oh, my bad, I must have misread my own calculations here.

It is £234/MWh as you say which should amount to £34.15m per year.

So the weighted average is

(22÷59)×235+(20÷59)

×258+(9÷59)×172 = £201.3/MWh

Assuming 59 MW deployed, at 28.24% efficiency, we would see

59×24×365×0.2824×201.3 = £29.38m per year

I wish we had proper revenue forecasts. The ones I see on simplywall.st so not make any sense to me.

Another SP accelerator will be a second BESS project at Uskmouth.

Hm, since the flow of water changes, there must be a point where the turbine stands still at the time where the water flow is also at a stand still.

But in any case.. these 3MW turbines.. shouldn't those be much more economically viable? Whatever price tag the 1500 has, the 3000 should still lower the price per MWh. My hope here is that we'll be hearing about that at some point as well.

Still, as many people state, BESS is currently the main thing toward for.

Also maybe let's take 9MW into perspective: That's 2x MayGen. Sure, we all hoped for more but I take it.

If we assume a 1.5MW turbine currently costs £10m, then we'd need around 16 years to get back those £390m that it would cost to build this array.

The big question here is going to be how much cheaper SAE is going to build them. Let's not forget maintenance etc. To turn a profit, the cost of a turbine really should (or has to) drop further down than £10m.

That being said, I don't have an actual idea about how expensive these turbines are going to be but I remember that the existing ones mist have been on the £10m to £12m range.

@OT yeah, assuming £172/MWh with 59MW deployed we should see a revenue around the £25m/year (plus/minus) mark I'd say. Sounds about right.

Oh and.. for once .. it's important how stars are alignment. As far as I know the moon and the sun can create a stronger or weaker tidal force. That's, I think, why monthly outputs can vary. Don't quote me on that though

30.5÷(4.5×24) = 28.24% efficiency which is what we'd expect.

The theoretical output of 108 MWh is not achieving primarily because there are phases where a turbine does not turn or only a little.

Imo seeing a strike price at £172/MWh is a positive sign. We want this number to be as low as possible, let's not forget that.

With all these things on the table, as soon as SAE confirms, I agree with the sentiment. We should be on the moon in no time 😅 and we deserve it 💯

I certainly would not mind if you end up being right here. I'm just skeptical because back then i thought that the first contract would already be a HUGE accelerator for the company. In the end, however, nothing happened. Sure, the SP went up over 100%, but does this account for the previous two contracts? I'm not sure. So.. at this point I'm just not sure what to expect from another contract. I figured people need more than a potential next phase. Perhaps SAE needs to follow up with some news. My assumption is that the valuation might move once SAE brings us an update for the first contract. Hopefully that'll be a plan for how the next phase will be achieved. After all, SAE does not have to make use of the contract. For example if they simply can't manage financing the next phase. This is why I think it might me necessary for SAE to follow up and confirm that the next phase is coming including a concrete plan for how they can achieve it.

So let's wait and see. I won't be disappointed if nothing happens because there's other news waiting to come to light.

Regarding the CfD though: I'm not sure if this will trigger the surge we all seem to anticipate. I did expect this to happen the past two times but nothing happened. There's a chance that we'll still have to be patient for a bit longer.

So.. complaining about the company not giving updates or progress is weird if you don't even know what kind of updates are on the line here.

Nobody here was impolite (arguably). I feel like people where more surprised by the fact that you didn't know about CfDs given the time you are invested in SAE (or at least interested) and your strong opinions about the leadership. You always had plenty of advice for how they should run the company etc 😅 you'll have to live with the fact that people will roast you for that now. Just don't get butt hurt from it because in reality nobody really cares.

I have to admit I found it surprising as well. CfD has been discussed here very often. Everyone is pretty much waiting for the first contract to help SAE get the funding for the next phase. It's literally what is supposed to to pay for it. And all the hopes and fears about ring fenced budgets.. how did you miss that Deutscher?
