For investors, the 1 July vote is a clear catalyst because it has the potential to materially change expectations about the Alaska LNG project's prospects.
There are a few possible outcomes,
best outcome: If the legislature passes a compromise that Glenfarne supports, the market may interpret that as removing one of the biggest obstacles to the project. Companies with exposure to Alaska LNG could react positively.
worst outcome, If the compromise doesn't satisfy Glenfarne, or negotiations break down, investors may conclude the project's chances have fallen significantly.
Mixed outcome: The bill passes, but Glenfarne's response is cautious or indicates more changes are needed. That could produce a more muted or volatile market reaction.
This is quite big, basically meant if we get the best outcome the sp should have a decent rise is its the other way round then the sp will fall ! quite a bit i imagine !
wouldnt bode well for any farmout either !
I personally think there is way too much at stake for it to go tits up,
Anyway i imagine investore are buying in on the hope all passes and the sp shoots up. GLA
