@EssJ, I'm minded to agree with you. I'm very nervous about the ability to refinance the debt and the consequences of not being able to do so.

I don't have as much invested as you, and my average is lower at 27p but 17% of my pot is in Wood Group and I would very much prefer not lose it all.

By the way, yes, I know it's daft to put 17% of one's pot in one organsiation. You live and learn.

Let's hope we're both pleasantly surprised come month end.

It was a chat in a pub and I doubted her from the outset but thought I'd check back with my investment buddies here.

My portfolio isn't even vaguely large enough that I would dream of troubling a pro with it. Their fees would eat chunks out of it. One day maybe.

I was speaking with a friend about Wood Group over the weekend. They mentioned a scenario that hadn't crossed my newbie mind.

That is that Wood could be bought, but Private Investors would not get paid.

Is that possible or is she trying to spook me? In her scenario, the Institutional Investors would get paid, but people like me that have WG shares in my ISA would not.

Is this even possible?

@Coops, my buy isn't showing at all.

@wadogara, it's because it rounds up due to the share price being so small. As it's now over 0.005, it's rounding up to 0.01 and is therefore very misleading.

@Warrie. I don't know what you're getting at other than you seem to be implying that I've something inappropriate.

I'm a legit person. Currently 35% down in WG and looking for something to bring the smile back to my face. I've bought in here and noticed that it doesn't show up on my HL account due to the SP being so small. It was when I looked for the reason for that that I noticed the number of shares in issue and was intrigued. Hope that satisfies you as to my motives.

Can someone please explain to me why this company has so many Shares in Issue?

That's changed to feeling rather sick of late.
