Looks like the vaccine is kicking in, cases are decreasing. This is great news for the country. Once vaccinations start to ease, testing will be stepped up which is where Omega will come into play.

The PCR test will be used for travel, and to confirm a positive LFT result. It's all coming together for Genedrive. Next news will be a contract with UK or EUA approval with USA. So much potential here now.

As well as the distribution agreement to sell in USA we now have the potential to sell our products in UK as well. I'm sure we were signed onto the framework because of interest in our Covid-19 test kit. This is very significant, and is a big step forward for the company. Fantastic news.

I sold out here a month ago @240 and 201. Very surprised how much this has dropped. I thought I was making a big mistake when I sold, as this was one of the stocks I thought could weather the current downturn in the market. I'm sure it will bounce back, but if it drops to 120 I'll be back in.

Yesterday, Biden signed off a $1.7 billion COVID-19 stimulus package. It will include $300 million for six genomic epidemiology “centers of excellence” along with $10 million for COVID-19 testing in schools.

If a person tests positive for COVID-19 those tests are often sent to a second lab for genomic sequencing. The procedure also allows scientists to monitor constantly-changing coronaviruses over time to better understand how they might impact public health, according to the CDC.

Genedrive's testing procedures involves Genomic sequecncing which picks up straight away any new variants. This was confirmed in an RNS back in December where it stated that Genedrive's 96 SARS CoV-2 Kit continues to detect all known variants of COVID-19, including the newest variants released by the UK's COVID-19 Genomics UK Consortium.

Good chance BC and therefore Genedrive will be involved in this state of the art Genomic testing. Now that the package is signed off, we could start getting news in the coming days/weeks.

Back in July last year AFC diluted the stock with 187.5M new shares which brought in 31M. Less than nine months later we're diluting again with a further 54M shares hoping to raise another 30M. As much as this seems like a positive RNS I still don't understand why we had to dilute the stock further. We could have accepted ABB and Dutco's investments without making a new public offering. We could have waited until we had solid orders before further diluting the stock. I just do not like the wording of the last RNS which states:

"The net proceeds of the Fundraising will be used to support (i) the continued product development of AFC Energy and ABB's next generation high power sustainable electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions; (ii) the development of new power solutions utilising AFC Energy's alkaline fuel cell technology platform, including the high growth global data centre market in collaboration with ABB; and (iii) the continued development of the Company's scalable manufacturing capacity to address possible future growth in system demand".

Notice at the end it says "possible future growth in system demand". You don't take 60M quid off shareholders and then say possible future growth. They should have waited for more definitive news from our collaborators before demanding more money from shareholders. There is absolutely no excuse now AB must deliver. We will now have a further 30M in the bank which alone should push the SP up to £1. Boom or bust time for AFC now, AB will not be forgiven if he f.... this up.

For the long term this is a great RNS, but for the short term I don't see the SP climbing very high. On news like today you'd expect the SP to fly but it hasn't. There is an obvious downturn in this sector and I think it will be a while yet before we really start climbing. Added to that, to enable this growth we have diluted the stock with a further 54M shares which is a lot of shares. I'm expecting a dip before the inevitable rise but still lot's to like about today's RNS. I will definitely be averaging up some more when the time is right.

I've found that gaps normally gets filled, but not always. This morning this looked like it was heading that way, but it's now done a U turn. Those waiting for the fill will have a longer wait now. If you can get in @80 best to take it.

Yes it looks like we're heading for that gap fill. I totally forgot about the gap and averaged down @89, took my eye off the ball for a minute and it's now costing. Oh well, expecting a nice bounce back up when/if we get there.

The Mologic antigen test first needs to be approved by MHRA, the Mologic antibody test is already being sold by Omega on the market. The ABC-19 antibody test is controlled by Govt through Abingdon Health.
