Podcast - The problem with people like you is you have very short memories. Cancer did not kill 40,000 people in three months, and the main thing is this was a new disease. So of course it had to be treated seriously when it first came, and the media had a duty to inform the public on a daily basis. It was not sensationalism.

jim1971 - Not sure how long you've been here but you should know by now that the govt will never, never ever ever, mention ODX in any announcements. The tests are market sensitive so will always ride under the banner of the RTC or one of the private companies BBI and Abingdon.

Yes it's been a great week. It started with an RNS that did nothing to the SP. The following day we got a tree shake which took us into the 60's for a couple of days, then more TV coverage of testing took us into the 70's which is where we are today. Yes, it's been a great week. Lets hope next week we get a few more tweets, a few more tree shakes, and maybe an RNS.

L&G sell just over 3% of their holdings, and it gets snapped up by investors straight away. No stopping Omega.

Omega (AIM: ODX), the medical diagnostics company focused on CD4, infectious diseases and food intolerance, announces that the self-test usability study for the UK Rapid Test Consortium's ("UK-RTC") COVID-19 lateral flow antibody test (the "AbC-19™ Rapid test") has concluded.

The study was performed by Ulster University using approximately 2,000 volunteers and completed over the weekend. The AbC-19™ Rapid test has already been CE-Marked for professional use.

Omega remains on track to have production capacity in place this month to produce an initial 100,000 AbC-19™ Rapid test per week, scaling up to 200,000 tests per week capacity in October.

Colin King, CEO of Omega, commented: "We're very pleased that the self-test usability study has completed and that we are progressing towards our goal of MHRA approval for self-test home use.

Lots of pressure on the govt today, as to why people have to travel miles to get tested. I personally think govt is winding down contract with Roche and finalising ukrtc contract. Out with the old in with new ABC-19 test. Not long to go now.

Looks like the SP jumped up at news that testing will be increased By up to 500,000 by end of October. Any type of news will get this moving, not just RNS.
