Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
35-45p
So one director going (old news), what about the rest? They can’t stay.
I like the final sentence of that sky article: "Lookers declined to comment." Says it all; the only news we get is from the press.
That aside when share dealing is restarted will we get any advance warning via RNS or will there simply be an RNS on the day itself?
It's great that the only update is from Cardealermagazine !
Wish the regulators and LSE would give the bod a kick up the backside; this ain't on.
I can imagine the sp being £0 when/if trading ever resumes as everyone sells so as not to be involved with this useless bod ever again.
The bod remind me of feeble people not having the balls to give bad news hiding behind each other for ever. Just publish all the bad news and the kitchen sink now and be done with it. Doing more harm by taking so long and showing incompetence than by just publishing bad results. The latter I can accept; I can't accept incompetent bod.
"Irresponsible" ?
That is putting it kindly. How about downright arrogant and rude? Add those to the ever growing list of negative adjectives for this incompetent bod.
When this is no longer suspended (hopefully this millennia) the sp will only go down. Just look at otherwise stronger companies than this without the financial mismanagement and c**p bod that are going down due to the world wise recession. This share will be no different but will plummet faster as it has some catching up to do and and should fall anyway because of the c**p that will be unearthed.
To be frank I just want my money out to put in to better bets than this.
If I knew how to sack the bod then I would do, not sure why the IIs haven't started that process themselves, it has to happen if the sp is to ever recover you can't keep this bunch of clowns at the helm. There are companies developing covid cures quicker than this lot can add up their own numbers.
Ok stand by for stupid question ....
When I read today's RNS I thought in the "previous position" box it was empty whereas in the "new/current position" box it said less than 3%.
So to me that meant Spreadex had gone from nothing to less than 3%. I know that makes no sense but why is the previous position box empty in this RNS?
@Physical thanks. If you get any update on the rebook numbers please let us know as I have no idea where to look.
Well two weeks on and useless bod still can't add their numbers up and publish them. I'm hoping for an RNS to sack the management team or a takeover bid. The current bod continuing isn't an option.
Thanks gtx1. Someone sent me a link to that interview on this thread a few weeks back. I agree with you. At first I wasn’t impressed with the ceo but in the end I was sold and doubled my holding. Btw as I understood it the 10p And 20p were NPV per share not the share price.
Still I see this as very undervalued and is one of my biggest holdings. If they get the investment in October then it’ll fly. If not they lose credibility, there’ll be a rights issue and we all lose value as has happened before.
@Gtx1 where did you source that the ceo is saying 10p then 20p? What timescale did he give? Can you give me the source? Thanks.
2022 lol. Must admit my feeling was they were trying to drag it out til better market conditions and better sales figures. Hence them finding some new issue to look in to further in their last RNS just to string it out further.
I've never owned suspended shares before. I'm curious what will happen on the 1st day trading restarts. Right now FTSE is about same level as it was when LOOK was suspended so in simple terms no external influence on the sp. Their numbers have been hit by CV of course as have most other businesses and this was known and priced in to the current 21p sp. In reality if they had never been suspended I can't see why there sp wouldn't be about 21p today also. Or maybe down a touch.
I imagine there will be some owners who need their cash back as they only ever intended to be in Looker short term and so will sell immediately. Some institutions and others may have lost patience and want to be out of a business that can't get its numbers right. I imagine on day one there will be more sellers than buyers. It'll be interesting to watch.
Complete shambles imo.
I can accept something has gone wrong with their accounting and they need to sort it out. I can't accept the length of time it's taking and no further RNS giving timescales to close the issues down. They need to get the dirty laundry out there then focus on the business.
Complete shambles. Hope they get new management and a takeover offer is made by some oligarch !

Thanks Blue & UKI. I am clear on what NPV itself is. I was curious what Harry meant when he said with pog at $2000/oz that would give NPV of 10p/share.
I think UKInvestor has clarified that what this actually means to me in hard cash (less costs, reinvestment etc etc etc) is a divvy of 10p per year per share.
Correct ?
I am trying to get to what my investment may be worth one day to me.
Thanks again.
I've just added another £5k worth today.
@UKINVESTOR - Thanks, I understand what an NPV is. I'm struggling with what it means per share (ok so obviously it is the NPV/number of shares).
Let's say I buy one share today at 2p, when Harry said the NPV for TK alone if gold was $2000/oz would be 10p does that mean that during the lifetime of the TK mine I can expect to receive 10 p in divvies (less stuff as you mentioned before) for each share I bought? I am struggling with why he couched it as so many pence per share.
To me I look at it a different way, I look at how the NPV would be reflected in the MCAP and hence my share value (assuming MCAP and NPV are broadly related in some way for gold miners).
Sorry if I am being thick, I am no expert in mining. I am unclear what that 10p per share based on his NPV forecast means to either my sp or my divvys or both.... that is what I am trying to understand.
Or is it similar some arbitrary metric that allows you to compare one miner with another ?
@UKINVESTOR - What does NPV per share mean? You mean over the lifetime of the mine it will deliver 10p per share of divvys? Please excuse my ignorance.
