Deep. That is the most sense I've seen on the board all day, and I think it's what separates CF from the big boy CEOs. Too much focus on costs and not enough vision on growth. I've seen so many commentators over the last two years promising jam tomorrow, only for it never to happen. I'm beginning to fell that enough is enough with this share. Too many MMs playing games and a CEO that says he's got the best interests of the shareholders at heart, but keeps trying to talk the share price down. Right, that 's my moan over for the week. There's a glass of wine with my name on it somewhere.

I agree with a lot of what you both said (it's all a bit cosy on this board), but the bottom line is that the price is driven by supply and demand of shares, and not the inherent value of the company. If there is a supply of shares (which JBER, ably supported by CFEP, seem to have access too) then they will control the price. Until access to the shares dries up then the company will appear to be valued according to the market. Only increasing demand for the shares will change this. Grrr.

Can someone explain to me what the benefit is to investors of JBER jumping on the top of the Ask at every opportunity, to sell shares and drive the price down? JBER seem to be able to pick up shares to sell which must be off market, but this means that they are selling at a price below the real value of the company which doesn't seem to be advantageous to any investor whether they are looking to sell or not. It's really puzzling. Almost like someone is pulling stings in the background, and not helped by CFs comment on share price.

With the large amount of buys and sells reported from yesterday, it looks like some IIs are balancing the books in December. I would say these are not PI transactions. It is what is allowing JBER to sit on the Ask all day and keep the price depressed, IMO. Once these are gone, the price should be free to find it's real level. Perhaps a question for CF tonight. GLA

It's going to take a block buster announcement to shift CFEP and JBER off the top of the Ask. They seem to be able to dictate the SP just by jumping on it every time there is upward pressure. One day we'll get an RNS that they can't control! Frustrating for every one with these two MMs stopping the rise. Grrr.

I have made a list of things we can expect over the next 3 months that could be announced on RNS.
- Profitability to be announced
- Disposal of Immutex and PrEB Biopharm (sold or SPAC)
- CHIM for COVID approved by MHRA
- CHIMs for Malaria, C Diff, and other new viral and bacterial models
- Expansion into new testing facilities
- More end to end service non-COVID contracts for Venn/hVIVO
- More COVID challenge study contracts
- Contracts with big tech for wearables data
- Possible announcement on dividends

All very encouraging, and with postman CF delivering, if even half of this comes off, I can see the share price rocketing, IMHO.

I share your frustration moniman. I've been loading up here to 0.1% of Orph, by selling Tesla, Ocado, Netflix and Twilio into a rise (big mistake) because the potential was so strong, but there is now a lot of Jam tomorrow from CF on the potential new revenue streams, and all the bread and butter RNSs seem to do is take the price down. Something doesnt feel right, especially with the Investment banks JBER and CFEP always sitting on the top of the Ask keeping the price down. Hmmmm.

Yes, a little bit flat. Still some "jam tomorrow" comments. I'd prefer it if he laid out more of a business plan with proper forecasts. Still holding strong here though. All have a good weekend.

Hi FTC, T3's response only tells part of the story. Imutex the company that is 49% owned by Hvivo/OO has a vaccine that works based on the saliva of mosquitos (AGS-v) and has shown to be effective to all mosquito borne diseases including Malaria, Dengue, Zika, etc. I think it recently announced successful results from a Phase 2 trial. This really would be the holy grail of vaccines given the number of people in the world that die from Mosquito borne diseases each year. When wrapped up with Flu-v, you can see the value of Imutex.

Hi Wolf. They are a market maker called Berenberg, Gossler and Co. For the last few months, most of the time they have been sitting at the top of the order book for the Ask (selling shares to the market) and they have been driving the price because of this. This morning it was interesting to note that big sells were being reported straight away but the big buys were being reported an hour after the transaction, which MMs are allowed to do if the trade is 6 times or more greater than the normal market size. A cynic could infer that this was driving more selling action than buying, IMO.

And now JBER are at the top of the Bid and the Ask, fighting to buy to meet the orders.

Some definite tree shaking going on as MMs report trades over 6xNMS immediately, rather than waiting the hour. I expect this to take off later, IMO. Great news for Orph. Expecting fireworks here.

I dont think the AI has to be that sophisticated. All the complexity is in the clinical progression data that acts like a fingerprint. All the wearable tech has to do is monitor the users biometrics over time and compare it to a data set of "fingerprints", which have been captured in a clinical setting, and alert the user if there is a match.
BTW is it me or has level2 data frozen. No movement on the bid or the ask. Normally one of the MMs moves up or down to fill the spread. Almost as is there is a lot of off market trading going on. I expect will see a lot of transaction showing up after the market closes. I wonder what is driving it.

They key to OOs data is the clinical progression. It's not something that any other company has. And lets not forget, this is going to be a very busy time for OO, so that base of data will be constantly added to. As other challenge models come on stream, this will also provide new clinical progression data, and add to the value even further. IMO.

Nice to see Berenberg off the top of the ask this week. Last week they seemed to be dictating the price, so hopefully this will fly this week.

I keep coming back to the point CF made last week at the Investor presentation where he said OO is now a data management company, suggesting that the future direction is a sound base in services but much more growth from selling data, IMO.

He also said he'd just received a cheque for £10 million from HMG, which was the most money he'd ever seen. Does that mean there is now £31m in the bank?

Is it the MMs or are they just making the market and working on behalf of some II. Berenberg have been at the top of Ask for a few days now, along with CFEP, and pretty much the bottom of the Bid, so I'd say there looking to shift stock on behalf of someone as they aren't looking to buy any. Also, I topped up again, and no sign of the Buy.

I noticed on last week presentation that CF described Open Orphan now as a "data company". Given that it is also a services company with expected revenues of 100m plus from that side of the business, is it reasonable to expect similar or larger revenue from the sale and licencing of the worlds largest database of infectious disease progression data? Will we get any indication of this on the call tomorrow?
