Imagine if all the overhead electric wires and stanchions could be removed from our railways. No more maintainance costs, no upkeep No track workers getting in the way. On top of that all that electric that the railways use could be put to better use. All it needs is hydrogen powered trains. Unfortuneately Germany are having problems with their hydrogen powered trains at the moment but when they start winning all those overhead wires, ( which they are still to this day erecting strangely ) will become a waste of money. Roll on hydrogen and goodbye electrification of the railways !

maybe the rights issue is a plan to make the labour party think twice. if ng is showing that it is investing in the future possibly labour will leave it alone. plus it has business interests in the us. the water companies have just released details of how much more money they require. they are a far more obvious target for labour and nationalisation. but they require, according to themselves, a great deal more money to stop the **** going into rivers and sea. the ceo of severn trent has recently given herself a massive pay rise so they are not short of a bob or two!
