I should probably have clarified better, I just don't know what the offer actually means for shareholders. Is there ANY reason not to sell now other than the dividend payout, as to my inexperienced mind I can't see how the share price can do anything other than go down as nobody will want to buy for more than 206? Will the share just cease to exist in the near future?

In my personal experience, the companies that constantly release RNS just to reassure jittery investors tend to be the ones that you need to worry about. The good ones are those that silently tick away at their actual work.

There is a distressed seller, the market is weak at the moment, and the share is still needing to gain credibility back after the pump/dump imbeciles got it trending on twitter for the wrong reasons last year. There's nothing to actually cause concern here at all.

Seconding Scrambler. You only have a paper loss at the moment. At the end of the day the company has a strong portfolio and funding. No point worrying about short term price movements if you have faith in the company.

Hi Wiggly, relatively new investor to CHAR here with a small holding looking to potentially build over the coming weeks.

Are you able to estimate a timeframe for the deal? I only occasionally invest outside my usual comfort zone of constuction firms and I'm trying to get a sense of how quickly things are liable to move here.

Wouldn't this be reflected in more stocks? A fair few in my portfolio have been noticeably stagnant for weeks but nothing I've noticed has experienced the fall that SIG's been undergoing.

Does anybody have any thoughts on the rather muted response to yesterday's RNS? I wasn't necessarily expecting it to jump up to the 90's but thought that we'd be well set for establishing a new base in the mid-80s.

I would respectfully disagree StarJump, there are no serious investors who will make a decision whether to invest in a stock or not based off the rantings of one or two children on a board like this.

There are, however, definitely people who think twice about entering or remaining invested in companies who have boards festering with asinine tit-for-tat exchanges as it suggests a lower level of general investor maturity in the company.
