Just found out a slowworm is a lizard...always thought it was a snake

Like all our declining wildlife haven't seen an adder for years. But when I bought this smallholdings in 1973 there were loads of corrugated metal sheets around and adders were often basking either under or on top of them.
I did see a slowworm 10 years ago...that's a beautiful snake
