Wall Street stock markets closed higher on Monday as investors are looking forward to the stimulus package being passed in the coming weeks. Earlier, the United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen shared high hopes for rapid economic recovery after the $1.9 trillion funding bill is passed.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average scored its first record high since January 20, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 have hit their record closes for the third time in a row earlier in the session.
The Dow Jones gained 0.76% as Walt Disney grew 4.9%, while the S&P 500 was up 0.74%, having Marathon Oil Corp soar 13.10%. The Nasdaq 100 grew 0.67% led by NVIDIA Corp jumping 6.24%. The euro remained flat against the dollar changing hands for $1.20511 at 4:11 pm ET.
