Best thing to do here is not get too frustrated by the current share price instigated by the complete lack of any information or progress from the Company. Im sure it will come good as better times are certainly ahead.
Probably best to adopt the Branson approach....ie fiddle while Rome burns. His aviation empire is crippled and crumbling, staff redundancies, peoples livelihoods evaporating and whats he up to? Sending guinea pigs through high speed tubes in the dessert.......
Bury your head in the sand.......
Totally agree with you there. The class clown has finally had his day and not a moment too soon. Good for us, hopefully the new guy will reconnect the US with climate change targets etc. The markets as a whole might react differently in the short term but ultimately could work out far better for the world. .....
Quite a normal pattern it seems. The price is inflated in the morning which subsequently subsides throughout the day. Theres been a couple of sizeable buys late in the day recently...maybe the price rises on the back of them; they need to fill the orders, so attract a few more sellers with these price hikes. Once done, it seems to drift. Its understandable as there's nothing for buyers to latch on to, as I put on the other thread Norfolk; we need a progress update. The Company is obviously busy doing something but busy doing what other than sitting on committees. We need to see something tangible, something that has a chance of earning money. They mention in the recent results they have worldwide interest, companies wanting the FT technology but no specifics. RRB have the option to buy 2 more reactors by the end of the year....have they or are they going to take up the option?
Going quiet after such a massive fundraise is not acceptable and will not stand them in good stead when they come back to market for more funding.
I am a great supporter of this Company and I'm sure I'm not alone. Ive invested a sizeable amount and can more but not until I know more detail.
Trying to find more info on the above link; see if we can actually see or hear what was said. Not much luck but here's their website:

Personally speaking I'd like to hear some updates from the Cimpany as to how they're spending the last lot. Apart from compulsory RNSs, we have heard nothing other than them posting that they're on this committee or that committee and supporting this cause or that cause.
Its perfectly acceptable to raise capital as they do. What is unacceptable is not treating investors with respect and not keeping them informed of progress.
Thank you all for posting and helping answer the IP question. Its a shame we don't have more of these constructive chats here!

Thanks Sense. So it seems to me they have IP on their catalyst but others can develop their own which still doesn't make sense to me as the IP gives them no patent rights. Maybe I'm reading this wrong!
Perhaps Sense you could clear up something for me. Above you've stated that VLS has IP on their FT process (and indeed Velocys says the same thing)....
My confusion is that the FT process is also available with other Companies (TRI for one)...so how does Velocys have IP. Or is is the type of reactor they've developed rather than the process. And if so, does that give them any advantage?
I'm a firm supporter of the Company and its aims and ambitions but not a technical person, hence the question.

Sorry, that should read million not billion obviously!
Just to put it all in perspective Heathrow alone uses about 5 billion gallons of jetfuel per day. Per day. (Pre covid obviously )
Accepting that a proportion of that will be replaced by short haul battery or hydrogen fuelled aircraft....the market is and will remain immense. Almost beyond comprehension.
The market for SAF is absolutely huge. If the net zero target is to be achieved...even if its only long haul jet fuel thats required in the long term, its still huge. How many oil companies are there? I see that BP are in bed with Fulcrum Energy and that in itself will spur Shell on. Thats what competition does.
And we should never be afraid of competition.
Absolutely agree with Sense. I have 20 shares in my watch lists and all bar two have taken a bashing recently. It's the stock market, its life. If you can ride it out without worrying too much, I'm sure it will come good again.
My opinion for what it's worth!
Personally speaking I think the price is holding up pretty well in the current climate. The general malaise and fear of more sweeping lockdowns is precipating nervousness everywhere. Unfortunately shares such as VLS are not immune but in reality, shouldn't affect the Company one iota.
But the detractors on this site will take any opportunity to have a go and this is one such time. But as I've always maintained, they're welcome to their opinions and whatever is said on here, good or bad, makes no difference to the share price at all.
Whone.....This will give you a clearer understanding of where the VLS Technology fits into the overall process.

Yes, I agree. I like the look of ETQ also.
On the contrary, Velocys supplied the reactors and catalysts for Red Rock and have an on-going agreement, so I would suggest that this is actually good news!
Yes, this happens im afraid.
Good choice though IMO.
If youre new to this board, its worth reading all the threads; some good posters with excellent research. There are detractors too but they're always entitled to their opinions even if they're diametrically opposite from the majority.
Good time to buy in, support @ 6p has held pretty firm for some time.
Good luck.
