Martin you’re comparing GGP to two established gold miners. GGP needs to learn to crawl before it can walk. Nothing stopping you buying Newmont and Northern Star.

Agree Jerry. The % increase in the share price can greatly exceed a dividend when cash is used to grow the company. American companies don’t pay big dividends and that’s why the largest companies see such share price rises. They reinvest the cash.

The media is speculating that Antipa will be bought. Share price says it too with all the buying in anticipation. Cannot see it myself however.

Maybe ref div’s. 5000 gold is still in the future. Right now Havieron is about AUD$1bill in spend. Telfer exploration and expansion easily hundreds of million of Aussie dollars. USD$100mill owing to Newmont for the acquisition. Personally I’d prefer the company invest in future proofing itself rather than sending cash to shareholders. Future proofing should also move the share price up so we win. GGP is in the growth stages of its life so plenty of cash to spend in the near to medium term for sure. There are dividend stocks out there from mature businesses that aren’t looking to expand so people can always park their monies there.
