.. nothing has changed. If anything hopefully this means the currently JV remains. We keep 30% of future profits and have the largest gold miner on Earth sort out the big stuff using all their resources.

Best to get this right from the outset........ setup the infrastructure correctly.... check twice before drilling.. etc. We are going deep underground so the engineers need to be on point. A lot at stake here, lives and money. Never do we want a tunnelling collapse. This is a multi-decade mine so get it right now for years of free cash flow.

People need to accept that they are constructing an underground mine. Challenges will arise. As long as the engineers find the best solution and they can keep going then all good. Much worse if they had to stop altogether.

They are digging infrastructure that will be around for many decades so it’s best to get it right first time. The risks are too high for tunnel collapse otherwise. No life is worth rushing the build.

Ben agree. They can plan from surface but until they get underground that’s when they’ll know if the plans were good or need altering. The decline eliminated one spiral due to the water. And now we hear the 3rd aquifer needs more prep work before digging through. Given the mine will outlive most of our lives (40 years I suspect) it’s best to get it right from the beginning. This is an engineering decision. To ensure the integrity of the structure is in tact once it’s built. Much prefer this route then hurry digging and then one day the tunnel collapses. That’d be a disaster for both the miners and our share price.

Is what I’ve taken away. So before the decline drills through it they’ve some preparatory work and then it’s onwards to the ore. We’ve got the biggest gold miner working on it. Safety first. All houses require solid foundations. Plan and execute right first time I’d my preference in order to avoid a shlt show in the future.
