Also it’s part of the Permian cover above the ore body that has the gold and copper. It’s rock, no gold or copper in the aquifer.

Go on Google maps and look at Telfer. It is housing, roads, airport and gold processing mill. A road to Port Hedland. All built over 40 years. I doubt it can be moved. Would cost an obscene amount to replicate in another location. Worst case as Don said, put the mill on "care and maintenance" until ore is available. I do not think this is necessary when the gold prices makes new all time highs and stays there.

Also the FS due Q3 2024 will detail how Hav will operate. Shame we need to wait so long.

The gold price is heading up and so will Telfers margins. The higher gold price will allow Telfer to keep the lights on. Key for Telfer is finding lots of ore to process from around the Paterson. So the 2 processing mills can be kept active. Havieron’s ore is likely 2025 so it appears, so Telfer needs to plan where it’ll source ore in the short to medium term. Antipa may send their ore to Telfer.

Newmont owns the Telfer and all the staff. Fred I am not following your logic that they'll need GGP or GGP staff to run it. They have been operating it for 40 years so I think they know what to do.

I disagree Fred. The Telfer operation is already there to run Telfer. Newmont own 70% so they don't ask the 30% to run it for them.

It is an interesting debate. The GGP team assembled is there for a producer, not an explorer. Losing Havieron defeats the point of the team now in place. The team has monetary incentives to get the SP up a lot higher, so like us they can profit.

This journey we are all on is frustrating, more so given the time involved, given that mining is generally a slow process. Realistically given what we know, real gold/copper revenues are looking to be 2025 rather than 2024. Hopefully we can hit the motherload on another tenement to give us another springboard.
