This last hour or so is really gonna take off. And if its not today then tomorrow its really gonna shoot upwards. Then if its still the same, you just wait til Monday and this will really go sky high.

At the minute I have zero faith in these markets. I'm invested here and in Petro Matad, both hit massive oil discoveries recently and the SP is shocking for both.

How come we have a couple of sells and it drops like a stone, then we have a shed load of decent buys and it doesn't move whatsoever

As fellow Yorkshiremen too, one of my good pals has got a few bob in Sirius from when it was +30p. Bad times.

I was the same SYFreshPrince. Threw a bit of cash at it for a gamble and trying to learn as I go on. Must say it's confusing when the SP was around 7.5p, they've found better than expected load of commercial oil and the SP is 4.5p.

I bought the newest Naked Trader book that has recently been released and find it very helpful for a total newcomer.

I don't know what Bloe or Block is but I'm sick of hearing about it and Mikes antics over there.

2 months ago this board was informative and interesting but now it's packed every day with posts that make my skin crawl reading them.

Looks like Petro Matads PR guy has found some free Wi-Fi today.

What sort of time line are we looking at now for the next few RNS'? Will we get to find out whether Heron is commercial, how much there is and potential flow rates all at the same time? Are these at the end of October or will we find any of that out earlier?

Also is a RNS for Gazelle likely at the end of September as to whether they've found anything?

Disappointing day today missing out on Red Deer but most know that's not the bigger picture anyway so we move on with our holdings firmly in place.

I did find it so odd that as soon as the negative news came out, this board was flooded with names I've not seen once in the last couple of months. It's like they've been sitting on the edge of their seats just waiting for it. Maybe thats just how it is and this is a learning curve but I kind of expected dealing with shares to be a little bit more of a grown up environment. Reminded me of being back at school 20 years ago on MSN.

Apart from wanting the SP to have reacted slightly better at this point, every bit of news/hints/interviews we've had so far have all been nothing but positive. Unless people are in it for a quick 5%-10% profit over a few days, I can't understand why you would want to sell right now. The overwhelming feeling for the next few days/weeks is excitement for me. I'm still praying for a 50p dream :)

I remember seeing 18p for an average strike at Heron and 32p more for Red Deer. Now I'm hoping if they both come in it might scrape double figures.

That's the hugely confusing aspect for myself too Proselenes. Even if Heron results show it to be commercial, and we have a positive strike of oil at Red Deer, I'm lacking the faith the SP will reflect that.

I've just listened to MB's interview and I'd struggle to pick out a negative comment from the 15 minutes. Every part he seemed confident and assured that Petro Matad will be successful.

If they have drilled to target depth and not found anything they've got nothing else to report, except a duster. If they find anything there will be processes after that they have to go through before reporting back.

Investing in PM is my first venture into buying shares. Is this chain of events, highs and lows etc the normal par for the course when investing or have I just struck lucky/unlucky? I've been reading this forum and trying to pick up things, useful hints and tips from some of you, and trying to read up on things I've not quite understood. I felt like I was getting a decent gauge on the rampers, derampers and finding the middle ground.

It seemed like the last few weeks we've been building up to this mornings news and after a brief moment of elation, I can now honestly say I haven't got a scooby doo what is going on or what I'm doing now. This morning I was RSVP'ing to our £1 party, now I'm wondering if I should be chopping my shares in and running for the hills.

Whatever happens I'm pretty sure I'll always remember my first. Forever a Matador
