Just looking at the chart, it ticks all the boxes, with rising volume on the daily, right about to hit the resistance at 8p, but after that, there isn't much between here and 15p :)

I believe it is simply being dragged around by the larger market. It is rising and falling with the FTSE, so when we go down again, (which I believe we will) this will be dragged lower. Hence, I will stay on the sidelines.
If you don't look at the macro picture, you will miss the best opportunities. Hence I am not saying this won't go up long term, but I just see further drops in the short term as we enter recession and holders sell to free up income, or sell to buy into better opportunities they can see.

Well it looks like I can buy back now at a cheaper price - though still not buying- give me a reason why anyone is going to be buying this stock in the next few months...

Unfortunately I was hoping for gains here today, but this is a sure sign that we have entered a bear market in stocks now - you release good news and the price falls. I have sold here and a few other stocks simply due to this...Now IG have released all their good news, there is nothing left to push the SP up and as markets continue to fall in the coming months, IG will simply be dragged down with them and then you may get more selling as people either see better short term opportunities like Orph, or simply because they need money for day to day living.

Aren't they only reporting earnings for Q4? Or is it more recent earnings too?

Just bought some Plus shares- results coming soon- bumper profits I am sure with all this volatility... they have certainly done well out of me during this crash- somehow managed to end up down, even when I was generally shorting the markets!

Few people mentioning the flu, but you can't compare this to the flu - it will likely be around for another 6 months or more, hence it is still quite a gamble until we have a clearer picture - UK and US are due to get hit in the coming weeks, so if we can prevent it from spreading too much, maybe i will consider buying back after that.

Agree! This price seems crazy- I have topped up, as with all this volatility, they are bound to have done well and results only around the corner now! General markets might also find a bit of stability here for the next week or so imo.

Agree thomson- I would be very hesitant to go on a cruise right now or especially book one for the future - We don't know just how long the corona virus is going to be around, so until numbers really drop off or they have a vaccine on the shelves, I will be very doubtful for their profits here. And I would like to say insurance would be going swimmingly well, but we don't know yet and with all the payouts due to flooding etc this summer, there is a good chance Saga could be hit in this area too.

What you are referring to is the highest form of gambling! Finding stocks that have a real chance of liquidation and betting on them in the hope that they secure their future, which when happens offers a good return. However, with the current future outlook for Saga, it's kind of hard to be optimistic don't you think?
I said I would buy when we hit the 20s, but to be honest, I am still not confident enough to put any cash here until i see a bit more hope on the horizon.

Very sensible! I sold off a few stocks today actually, but happy to re-buy when confidence returns. Easy to forget the markets have been in an extremely long bull phase and it's very possible we will see a longer bear market now. You have to stay open to all scenarios.

Well look at how the share price has descended over the past few years and there's your answer to be honest, a lot of disgruntled investors.
Climbing again now, I noticed a load of automated sells pushed through at the lows, looks very much like a stop hunt, so fingers crossed we'll continue to climb again now. Charts still v.bullish.

Let's hope so...The spread is ridiculous, I'm hoping they are trying to stop a few people out before a move higher.

Very impressed it has held these levels and i topped up here yesterday, as I love sector investing wise, it is high-growth and low risk- Corona would never effect this industry...price seems like it has much further to run yet!

"providing of course the virus does not spread more intensively" Agreed, though unfortunately, it is getting much worse at the moment and don't think this one will blow over half as quickly as SARS and previous viruses...The numbers are already much bigger and the speed of growth is still increasing which is the really worrying thing- this is why markets have dropped again today.
I agree that insurance is the bulk of the business and if they can stabilise this, it'll be all good, but still a big "if" and until we have confirmation, i think we could see this going further south with all the bad press surrounding the the corona etc. Not all bad though, as could present another buying opportunity.

As a lone piece of news, yes it would be a non-story. However, you have to consider that it has happened at a very sensitive (and bad) time, with the Corona virus still getting worse by the day (numbers have jumped up again). This certainly will hit Saga and the cruise industry as a whole, especially those with routes close to Asia and it really won't do much for future bookings, especially when people connect the two stories, as these ships do just become floating petri dishes and it's really not a nice thought to be trapped on a quarantined ship...

Thanks for the chart, hadn't seen the head and shoulders, but there are so many bullish attributes on all time frames right now that I am confident of a nice up move, that oddly enough seems like it will coincide perfectly with the news! :)
