I agree with that, wents (although most buys at much lower prices than now), but my point is I’d like to be told what is happening so I can do my own research and form my own views, rather than relying on somebody else’s decision making

On the subject of information, clarifications, and general pace of progress, I have to confess to having become pretty hacked off with the board of late.

- increasing our stake in Hammersley to 90% took ages after it was first announced and during that time the deal got worse for UFO (potentially much worse, depending on the answer to my email which the company ignored);
- we drilled Hanc0ck quite a bit last year with a view to increasing the resource; well over half a year later we’ve heard nothing of the outcome (hard to resist conclusion it wasn’t as positive as hoped)
- when the AA deal was announced we were led to expect completion by mid-autumn; here we are in midwinter and the company hasn’t even triggered the DD (is that deal still on track or are we being strung along?)
- no visibility on progress/timing of heritage approval
- it must be over a year since they said they were going to reopen EH - it seemed to take them an age to sort out the head frame and then it all went deathly quiet

I wouldn’t hold your breath for a reply. I twice emailed them asking for clarification of one of the terms of the deal with Windfield which seemed to me to be potentially a major negative, but they never replied at all

I agree with various posters that, reading between the lines, the Gov and the companies have decided to stop mucking about and get these MDAs over the line in the near future. With that attitude, I’m sure there will be no problem and we’ll get definitive news in the next few weeks.

Surprised the SP didn’t react more today - the closing SP is still near long term lows, and lower even than at some points in the past couple of weeks. Should be well primed for a bounce in my view

I don’t know what (if anything) is going on. I am of the view that:
- we are absurdly cheap for a copper explorer with masses of prospective land and two JVs with a major and a nearly major
- the October update from FQ was very promising
- if we have a good set of drill results from FQ we should go up 5-10x from here
- if we get a monster drill result there’s no reason why we couldn’t do 50-100x over a period of time (think GGP, SOLG etc)

Exciting to find out! Massively undervalued even if the next FQ update were to turn out to be low key

There was a quick run up from about 2.7 to 3.4 in a day, about a month or more ago, and I wondered then if someone knows something. Wondering that again today. Speculation, of course. But I’m more than happy with the value here in any event. Over at ARCM they all think that a JV with Anglo for their Zambia project is going to propel them well above £50m MCAP. And here we are, with a JV with FQ already in the bag for our Zambia project, and we’re on just over £5m MCAP. Just my view of course, DYOR

Just on the subject of using the neighbouring beach to ramp up production, there is no reason why production cannot be ramped up based on the existing beach, should that make sense for the company at any point. The current beach has a JORC resource of 3.11MT and the current target is 10KT per month. At that rate there is a life of mine of 26 years, which is a bit daft, particularly if you assume the neighbouring beach becomes available at some point. We can easily triple production from the existing beach, to 30KT per month, and still have a LOM at that beach alone of about 9 years

True that he’s given no clues, but I think that’s because, given what we know already, it’s very likely they hit massive sulphides but it wouldn’t be safe to speculate prior to assays that they contain economic mineralisation. In those circs, what can he really say? He did say in his recent interview that the Obonga assays will set the tone for the year, so I’d be surprised if he’s positively expecting them to be a bunch of ****. I’d guess either he thinks they’re good but is being cautious about it or he just doesn’t know

A perfectly ridiculous day for the share price with sells at 1.2 and buys at 1.59, a difference of 32.5%, even though absolutely nothing happened in terms of company news and developments. Just goes to show that these fluctuations on low volume are not worth paying too much attention to I guess. Drilling to recommence next week, that’s what I’m interested in

A modest SP recovery over the past few days. Maybe some more people starting to notice that with the SP almost covered by PNT and FMET you can get two excellent projects and one decent-looking project almost for free. Long way to go, of course

Hi all. Still not invested but keeping an eye. Major concern about Mt Weld was I couldn’t see how Corcel could afford to drill it, so think today’s RNS a positive development

Hi Cygnus, welcome. I haven’t been here all that long either, but have high hopes. If you look at the 24 October RNS, it seems to me that:
- the Cu in soil numbers are amazing
- 75m of mineralisation in a pathfinder hole is very promising, and subject to grade better than what many companies exploring Africa copper belts have recently managed (eg Cobre - and they flew on their results)
- the planned deep drill offers the possibility of a outlandish result

The below posts from McQ neatly illustrate the point I was making the other day that it is not productive to try to guess at reasons/motivations for the suspension, beyond what we have been told. On 30 Dec the conspiracy theory was that the suspension was to drop the price so mates of the board could buy cheap. Now we have McQ suggesting that something bad has happened which we are not being told about. Both of these contradictory theories have been presented on here with absolute certainty. I’m not convinced by either. I do think it’s odd that KZG can’t get some info from Aftan pertaining to a period that ended 6 months ago, and no doubt the details of that will become clear in due course. But I’m not convinced there’s necessarily anything else going on

The market cap here is out of all proportion to the circumstances of the company. I’m convinced this is a very rare opportunity which only exists because the company’s soft comms are woeful (rare for that to be a positive but I think it is here, in terms of creating the opportunity which now exists). We have an amazing land package. We have an ability to start our own small mine in Namibia for cash flow. We have two massive partners for Botswana and Zambia. The numbers in the October update from FQ look extremely promising. In my view a company with good comms would have a market cap three times higher than this going into the next update from FQ. Then if that update is good, who knows

… to all Kav shareholders. Very much a year to forget as far as drill results and the SP are concerned, although we have made substantial progress short of an economic discovery. I remain invested here, comforted by the knowledge that if and when we do start to deliver more concretely on the promise of our land package and technological ingenuity we could fly fast and far. Here’s to a 2023 in which that happens.

Would be nice also to see a return to form of this board. Always been a number of intelligent and interesting posters here, but I’m afraid of late many of them seem to have been beaten into submission by the dross on here. Again, hopefully a brighter New Year!

Not saying you’re wrong, Funky. As you rightly say, I know you are pure of motive with this co. I just think we don’t really know re the accounts

Good news in the RNS today. Not that I was ever concerned about the TVM sale, it was only announced a week or so ago. But it would seem the company listened/paid attention to the need to reassure the market after yesterday. I like that.

Some will say they deliberately pushed the sp down and up again to let their mates in etc. I don’t know about that. I’m not a big fan of speculating as to motive. I do think it’s bad that the accounts are delayed, but it doesn’t go any further than that for me.

My main focus remains on the projects

It shouldn’t have happened, but for anyone who was planning on holding at least the next few months it shouldn’t make any difference ultimately. Personally I want to see the HMS project come to fruition
