FKC “The main information missing from the debate is the identity of the vendor. Strange it has still not been disclosed despite the fact that the contract has been signed? What have KAV to gain from holding back on such basic details? It only adds to the suspicion that they are not open honest and transparent. It also leads to pointless speculation as we are now seeing.”
Serious question: have you tried asking the company / Ben who the vendor is? I’m pretty sure if I asked him he’d just tell me…
And I think the response is that that point only has any validity if it turns out “the Chinese” have recently attempted to make a go of the Nara project. That is the information missing from this debate
Given that we are a mere 6 months away from the commercial launch of a test which is going to revolutionise the diagnosis of one of the most common cancers, I’d say we’re pretty bloody good value!
In line with my strategy I’ve been buying today. Buys at 2.188 and 2.098. Pausing to see what happens next
Thanks to F79 for taking the time to pin that point down. If those of you who are doing so could stop literally making stuff up, that would be great.
you need to either say what you mean or pipe down. if you know something important, i’m sure all holders would like to hear it. i mean that. but if you’re not going to say out loud what you’re getting at, all we’ve got is a guy who always ****s off the company ****ging off the company again, but this time hiding behind innuendo and a notion that he knows something we don’t. hard to do anything other than discount that. but, if you have facts, please tell us. then everyone, me included, will have to listen
I’ve been trying to find some facts in Stan’s “story” and the closest thing I’ve found, hidden among the conspiracy theories and smears, is the assertion that Zimbabwe is a bad place for mining. A few thoughts on that:
1. Clearly some historical truth to the point.
2. Zimbabwe has made real efforts to improve as a mining jurisdiction, with considerable progress made.
3. Bozi recently pointed out that PREM have been doing well there. They’re currently having trouble with their Chinese partner, but that has nothing to do with the Zimbabwean location of their project.
4. Another company doing very well in Zimbabwe is gold miner CMCL, which has the operating blanket mine and three more projects, all in Zimbabwe. Very successful, trades on a relatively high market cap/production ratio. Of particular note, CMCL recently paid $65m for their Bilboes project in Zimbabwe.
5. Tharisa is spending a huge amount of money setting up the Karo project in Zimbabwe over the next couple of years.
So, I don’t think the picture in Zim is anything like as gloomy as Stan-the-shareholder suggests. The real question is whether Kav’s new project has the gold to support a modern mine. If so, this is a great deal. If not, we lose the option fee and the money spent on exploring it. Seems ok to me.
Definitely some large scale dumping going on. Perhaps this is just the unwinding of the investments of the group of pumpers somebody mentioned. Up… and back down. Hard to imagine they’ve made much money if so!
The RNS is fairly light on detail as to what Kavango’s hopes are for the new project and the grounds for that. That is sensible. There is now an exploration program to come and it is prudent not to guess what the results of that will be.
I agree the RNS is not sufficient to explain the recent rise in the SP. Presumably that rise has been down in large part to the KSZ drilling and/or the securing of large scale finance
Red flag! Scam! Sell! Aaarggh!!
Course you are, sunshine. You hold those shares
So we’ve shifted from being a shareholder to raising red flags in order to warn others. Give it up Stan, you’re embarrassing yourself.
You best get back to working on this theory you’re devising that the Zim project (a project you currently know nothing about) is not just bad but “sinister”. Is that intended to guard against the project, when announced, looking exciting and attractive? You can go “don’t take any notice of the good things you can see; worry about the SINISTER THINGS YOU CAN’T SEE”.
Red flags! Sinister! Scam! (I’m a shareholder, honest)
Well Stan, on the basis of about 15 seconds of looking at your posts, you wrote, just three days ago:
“ don’t forget the old rule of investing; if there are 2 or more red flags it’s more likely to be a scam than a communist party meet up”
The telltale sign for me is that he constantly tries to present KAV as a scam or con. And he’s always on about “red flags”. The message is very definitely “if you’re thinking of buying, don’t; if you’re currently a holder, sell”.
Calling it a scam also allows him to discount any positive point whatsoever, and to encourage others to do so. Even good news straight from the company by RNS can be discounted. “It’s a scam, they’re tricking you, they’re conning you, WAKE UP!!! Can’t you see it yet? I feel sorry for you. Look at all these deluded rampers who believe what the company says…”
These are the actions, not of a disappointed shareholder who wants the price to go up, but of someone who wants the price to go down.
Quite so, Bozi. I can easily buy “I’m angry at the board because of x” or “I’m frustrated we’re not making the most of y” or “I’m worried about the share price” from a real shareholder. But a current shareholder does not spend months on end arguing that the company is nothing more than an elaborate con
You may well have been a shareholder back in 1485. But you’re not now, and haven’t been for a fair old time
How any of you think that StanAccy is a shareholder is beyond me. I’ve never seen a single of flicker of positive interest in the company, the management or even the projects in hundreds of posts from him. Instead I’ve seen a 100% record of posts designed to depress the share price. Not 99%, 100%
To be fair, Pauly, we haven’t had a lot of that. My post suggested it probably wasn’t a leak. Most of the others yesterday were purely about the price
Could today be a result of a leak re the drill? Seems a bit early to me?
Like dvHarrison I am waiting a little longer. I’m thinking 1.8-2.2 target to buy, but will see how it goes. I do want to get back in so will have to judge it. But based on today’s RNS I’m not expecting major upward catalysts in the next few weeks. Will see. Comfortable with approach in any event. I wish all others luck and am sure that on an appropriate timescale everyone here should do well
