So that P...k Ward has asked for a vote of no confidence in ST. What a surprise he got it!!!
The company has made 'its final offer', let's hope it is. It is now time to turn the screw and show up Ward for what he is, a malicious bastard who only has one thing in mind, to bring down the company.
Now really let the company negotiate, for every week where the union calls a strike the pay offer will decrease by 1%, in order to mitigate future losses.
When are the posties going to stop and think that every day they strike they are losing money and Ward and his cronies still receive their fat salaries!!!
If you still want a job vote to accept the terms and even leave the union if not, see if Tesco will take you on to stack their shelves for Xmas, you may even get a discount on your Xmas meal.
Can you please clarify, if your weekly pay is based on the average of the 12 weeks prior to receiving the notice would that average be reduced due to the non payment for strike days.
If so the Union has helped the posties shoot themselves in the foot!!
As I have said before the union bosses are only in it for themselves. They don't care about their members, all they want to do is bring down companies and not do the job they were originally set up to do.
Let's sort this mess up once and for all. The company has said they are proceeding with the changes and any further strike action will mean no further talks.
The company should now take the following action:-
Proceed with the changes, as stated
Offer a final package with no negotiation
If strike action goes ahead no VRs accepted
Redundencies made within the legal timeframe and only the legal required payment made
Any postie not striking for at least three months from the nominated first strike day to receive a bonus. Yes this is blackmail.
It's up to you posties. You either want your job or you could be out of work and you and your families will suffer. Your choice!!
Let's put an end to the excessive power the unions think they have and let them do the job they were originally set up to do, which is to deal with true grievencies. At the present time all they are doing is hurting their members and the general public.
Well done posties, I said you were stupid following the union, you have lost money, the union will lose fees. One of these days you will wake up and realise unions don't care about their members. All they want is distruption and cause chaos. The share price is way down, shareholders will lose money if they sell now, but why would they? RM will survive in one form or another as buyers will return. It's time to get rid of your union leaders with their cushy jobs and big salaries.
I must admit to being a share holder and about 50% down on my investment, however you win some and lose sum, my decision. I also believe that everyone is entitled to a a fair wage and wish you luck in the negotiations, but let's look at the facts in the real world.
If I own my own company and my employees want an increase in salary, if I can afford it based on the comany's trading I will give it to them. If not they can decide to stay or leave on what I propose or leave, their choice. If they leave I will replace them.
Now if I am running a company on behalf of its share holders my priority has to be to my emplyers, those share holders.
If I allow such increases in salaries which will put that companyb in to a loss making situation, that will prove a dereliction of my duties.
If you do not get paid for ten days because you strike you will lose the equivalent of 3% of your income before you sart, which RMG will save.
Do not think the union is acting on your behalf. The top guys will still earn their £100K+ a year. You will get some form of rise I am sure, but not what the union is pushing for, and you will still be down for loss of earnings while on strike.
It's not extreme greed it's extreme stupiity. If someone earning £100K+ a year says I will get you a 10%+ a year rise from a company that will lose money they are not living in the real world. Go on strike, let redundentcies follow and be out of work.
Stop listening to those malicious union bosses who only want to feather their own nests and realise they are not acting in your interests but their own and stirring up trouble. Accept a reasonable increase now and come back for more when profits improve.
2.8 million just purchased.
Any ideas who the buyer might be?
It appears a number of people have been mislead by H L and suggest the more people who complain to them the better. They should at least honour their standard charges for selling. I have also voted NO the the delisting, although it would probably make little difference.
The message coming out from H L is that although the shares will be held in my account they will only be sold over the phone and via HSBC, at inflated sales cost. This is totally misleading and I have made an official complaint to H L as having begged the question previously whether I will still be able to deal with these shares through my account, I was advised that I would as I have completed the relevant form to be able to deal on the NASDAQ. I am sure the large drop today is because of this announcement and H L would have been aware of these restrictions before today.
With Accustem now being traded on OTC, I contacted HL who hold my account. They advised they cannot trade in OTC's and can't recommend another broker. I spoke to my bank who also advised Accustem were not on their list to trade. I called TILS who are looking in to finding a possible trading broker. Have we been screwed?
