Question for you: do you think if there are 3 discounts available for a restaurant on the app, that they are going to sell 3 seats and then say “sold out” and leave the rest of the seats empty? Hmmmm

Question 2: Do you think perhaps some will have only 1 booking slot advertised as a sales tactic? Hmmmm

Question 3: Have you ever been online to buy something and the amount left of said product are counting down, creating a sense of urgency, but it never runs out? Hmmmm

Clearly some of the doomsday sayers have never worked in sales and haven't a scooby how things work in the real world. Could I ask 2 things of you...

1) if you genuinely do hold (which clearly half the fake aliases on this bb dont) please sell up, if i dont like a stock i sell it and move on.

Time to load app = 2 seconds

Time to switch from Basingstoke to Southampton and discounts to load = 3 seconds

Clicked on Rancho’s (sold out understandably, clearly the app is working for them) time taken to load in and scroll sideways to tomorrow = 5 seconds

Total time to load app, change city, find restaurant of interest, available day and time and book 25% off deal....

= 10 seconds!

Is the app easy to use and functions properly = yes

Does it look good = yes

Would it make me more likely to go there, or go there more often = yes

Have I already told friends about it, who are now also using the app = yes

Does this add value to the restaurants = yes

Are 90% of the posts on this bb utter drivel, written by whiney keyboard warriors with no idea how a company like this is run, or scaled = yes

Perhaps visit one of your local restaurants and ask the manager what they think and how they are getting on with it and post some factual feedback rather than useless assumptions.

If you click on the “Address” it brings up a map, and the full address and postcode is clearly displayed.

If you are incapable of putting that into google maps or your sat nav, you probably shouldn't be leaving the house anyway.

Just been on the app, and can confirm, most of todays posts are absolute tosh.

95% of the pictures on there are great, with the exception of the Birmingham ones, looks like the TM send the pictures to the office in low resolution by accident, probably 1mb files then expanded causing the blur, im sure these will be re-uploaded promptly in the full resolution. Have done similar myself by accident.

And the discounts pop in after 1-3 seconds, none of this “ages and ages” people were crying about. And that on my 3yr old iPhone 7!

Was made a meal of earlier, no doubt by the traders amongst the board trying to push it back down sub 3p. Hopefully you get left behind.

I would urge new potential investors to go and do your own due diligence, visit the website, download the app and see what it looks like for yourself, if you just went by whats written on here you might form an inaccurate opinion!

Yes ART, but a TM is not going to go to two appts in Bristol and then drive to exeter for another etc etc, they will hit one area in one city in a day, targeting all the resturants in that area. Then move on to somewhere the next day and repeat so travel should be localised on a daily basis.

I used to live in Southampton and it would take at least 2-3 weeks of solid grafting just to Get round the city centre, then theres all the outlying areas, Totton Millbrook Eastleigh, Hedge end, Bitterne, Woolston, Shrley, around 1-2k restaurants i would image, huge opportunity.

What also interests me is the opportunity to diversify into fast food outlets at a later date too which they must have already considered, i’d take 10% off my local Chinese if i could. Add those in and the numbers add up fast.

All in good time though.

Re your sign up rate comment ART saying that you would expect many more sign ups in the bigger cities - that will only be the case if those cities have more than 1 TM therefore doubling the amount of prospecting. If its 1 Tm per city than the sign up rate will be roughly the same in London as it will in Smaller cities, perhaps a tad more as the proximity of restaurants will be closer hence saving a bit of travelling time between addresses.

Calamari - your condescending “grandad” comment only magnifies your sheer lack of knowledge in this field, how it really works on the ground, selling a new product. Im 34 and have been in sales since I was 17, Gas/Elec, Windows, Cars, Electronics, Telecommunications systems, Software solutions, it goes on, all face to face either by appointment or “prospecting on foot” never by phone, can you imagine trying to sell app based software without even being able to show them the product, seriously.

So perhaps understand the industry a little more before you start firing shots at a poster who has more knowledge in this sector than half the “punters” invested in this on a whim.

If thats doubling the current sign ups i would say thats fair progress, also worth noting that its a lot easier to sell the benefits to new customers when all the competition is signed. If i was a TM i would be going into every restaurant saying that the 3 other restaurants nearby are all already onboard, no one wants to be the one left out.

My point is Sept may not be the blockbuster start but the added numbers should increase as Oct/Nov/Dec come in
