The RNS stated that PRE drilling would be straight after Scallywag. So about 8 weeks time.

So in October we are potentially looking at

RNS for Havieron results
RNS for Scallywag results
RNS for MRE
RNS for Patterson east commencing

Perhaps a good month to book some holiday : )

Why would i pay 8%?

the depth thing is huge, everyone thought they would drill that later after the MRE (when they were mining and looking to expand)

but doing it now *in the process of" as in, drilling it now, means we could be in for a whoppa MRE

there were some broker notes out recently estimating 5.5m oz just in the high grade zone (not the much wider breccia, and then the last set of results in July almost doubled the high grade zone. so we are definitely looking at 7-10m oz + all the surrounding breccia.

spoon_key, grab a calculator, do £400 a oz (profit) x 10,000,000 = £4bn, 30% of that is £1.2bn or 30-35p a share

now work out what it will be if we have 20,000,000 oz

now figure out what GGP will be valued at if Scallywag hits a similar deposit

now calculate what GGP will be valued at if Patterson East (Golliath) touted to be almost identical to Havieron but 4x bigger, hits as well.

Now take a breath, grab a beer and fasten your seatbelt.

Davieri007, this was discussed last time round and then Sandeep talked it up more than anyone expected, and was grinning from ear to ear, and most of the Q&A was about Havieron (from memory 4 of the 6 questions)

My thought on the whole “downplay it to get GGP cheap” is this:

Two Hypothetical scenario’s Could play out...

1) NCM play it down - lets say Havieron is worth $10bn (for simplicity) but NCM play it down, giving the impression its worth $5bn
NCM get another 3.5bn (70%) on there Mcap, and can offer $700m for our 30%.

Ok

2) NCM big it up! - they say its worth $10bn, possibly more. NCM now have to pay $1.4bn for our 30%, but their 70% adds $7bn to their Mcap

Scenario 1 gives a net gain of $4.3bn
Scenario 2 gives a net gain of $8.6bn

If you are a mid tier tring to fight off a Rio takeover and grow your Co. which do you go for?

For this reason i think Sandeep will remain very bullish and forthcoming on developments at Havieron.

Might surprise a few here, but im not expecting anything “wow” from scally. I think gold will be minimal, Copper will be good, and news on first drills will be late Oct/ early Nov

PRE on the other hand, thats the one i think will be unbelieveable, the mag surveys and size of the bullseye tgt (Just like Havieron but 4x the size) now that one im excited about. Roll on year end for that.

If Scally does turn up trumps il be chuffed, but would rather be pleasantly surprised, than disappointed (like EG)

yes daniel, and take into account that most gold miners will trade at 5x yearly income so Mcap of £350m

schlemiel, these are mm's scratching off trades from yesterdays drop, in my experience naked trades the mm's took themselves. generally when they start getting posted, its a sign that the decks are getting cleared and things are about to get moving.
