Tony, thanks for the reply, is it capped at 20% no matter what the amount? Or does it have brackets like the 9-5 job?

Aka make up to 40k pay 20% tax, but over £50k is 40% tax, over 150k is 50% tax etc etc?

Is it different because its from an investment, and thus capped at 20%?

If i buy etherium, say £100k worth, and it does 10x i make £900k, is the government going to take 40-50% of that as tax? (Trading is my full time income)

The reason i ask is that if thats the case im surely better continuing to buy companies like ARB via my ISA and spread betting, which are both tax free

After tax on owning the etherium coin, i could just as easily make 4.5x on ARB tax free for the same net gain right?

Or is there a legal way to avoid paying CGT on owning crypto direct?

Personally i dont see how the government can warrant taxing you on the value of your “money/currency” going up anyway, scumbags!

Just look at history, the gold confiscation, they’ve done it before “re valuing” it before, and they are about to do it again, the only way gold will go to $10k-$20k an oz will be off the back of a crypto revolution, and when its to the benefit of those in power.

Wow....... so many ill informed comments and opinions on Bitcoin/Crypto, some people need to go and do a LOT more research before posting certain statements.

And fyi these technologies do and will continue to have a direct impact on GGP, so i’d argue it is relevant conversation, here’s 2 examples to kick you off on your research journey...

1) after the Gamestop debacle and subsequent crash/closure of many brokers due to Clearing houses raising the required margin on 21 stocks, congress is now getting to the bottom of the issue (liquidity) the current T2 clearing provess is now being describes as “antiquated” and there are serious conversations being had between the SEC and Wall st about the possibilities of linking the exchanges to the blockchain for instant settlement

2) with economies around the world racing each other to the bottom as far as money printing/debasing their currencies in order to stay competitive in the imports/exports sector, there is much talk about what currency will be used when it finally all comes down (US Debt/GDP now unrecoverable in a 120%+ death spiral) well the answer to that is that the governments are already drawing up plans to launch their own “national crypto currencies” and there are rumours that a number of these Countries (China for certain) are going to back these new crypto’s with......... drum roll please........ you guessed it... Physical GOLD!

Now think about why the price of GOLD (and silver) has been manipulated for so long, why the paper market has been shorted by the very same people who are hoarding the physical at the same time? Odd? Why would they do that? Puzzle starts fitting together.

Perhaps because when Fiat goes to 0, and the “great reset” takes place, one of the biggest “resets” will be allocated to the POG, and who’s got all the physical?

Bad for the masses, good for the Gold miners and savvy investors.

I’d be amazed if we are sub £1 come June, so in my eyes 38p is a friggin steal, but go on the Co. website and go through the presentation, and read the last 12 months RNS’s, and then ask yourself if its worth more than £70m..... and how many times more.

Drill results:

Of the original 2500m...

Holes 73,74,75,76 were being processed but delayed due to covid, Brad said approx 4 weeks which is next week, but could be forgiven for running over a tad as its really down to lab staff shortages.

After that you have 77,78,79 which were on their way to the labs (so probs land 1-3 weeks after the above)

After that we’ll have the additional 7500m which is already being drilled to my understanding, 2 rigs now with 3rd arriving/just on site. Labs should be back to some form of “normal” by the time these arrive hopefully, so would be 2-3 week turnaround after completion.

Brad did say strap in for a news rich period.

No doubt that if 73-79 deliver positive results, we’ll be in the £££ by June/July
