The amount of PR, media, investor relations and consumer based pitching ECR has produced over the last 12 months could honestly be boiled down to a weekends work. Obviously the meat and potatoes have to exist to produce content, but there is so much they could do around the edges! And don’t give me the ‘id rather they concentrate on…’ speech, that relates to the logistics staff & geo team… We have staff employed specifically for this stuff.
Some examples -
- Spruce-up and maintain up to date information on the website - A glossy website is attractive and appealing, particularly to new investors looking it. Current site looks cheap.
- investor Q&A sessions (perhaps once a month)
- weekly engagement on Twitter, ask questions, polls, name the rig etc etc - this will maintain engagement + massage the algorithm so future posts get better reach.
- on site/prep multimedia - rig commissioning images. Doesn’t have to be sensitive info but would keep investors engaged while we await results etc.
- attend a few more conventions/public events - pitch the Co more! All we have are sellers, we need buyers!
I mean that’s just off the top of my head.
I work with multimedia and content creation so perhaps I seem overly critical but I know this stuff. We are paying for it (so far by dilution!) so frankly I would like to see it improved.
