How does the bidding process work.

Is it sealed bids, like when you buy a house or is there an indication of what will be acceptable?

On the list it says we have bid as operator, could they change that to non operator, so that we are still involved?

You are right, as soon on SPs link, we are in for KON15 as operator?

If we are operator, does that mean we have a bigger share of the project?

That might be why we only bid for one block?

Yes it was done very quickly,wasn’t it.

We are very lucky as I have seen other projects drag out a long time in other African countries, due to long long delays in waiting for a project to be signed off by govt officials.

No doubt they saw the experience and funding abilities that AK and his team has too offer and saw that as being very beneficial to both them and us.

The relationship he is building bodes very well for us moving forward.

Hopefully we are building a good relationship with Sonangol and the Angolan govt, which will help us going forward?

Thanks SM, we are up against some companies who have been around longer than us, so hopefully we are in with a shout?

November 16, 2023 | The National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency, in its capacity as National Concessionaire, held today, in Luanda, the opening ceremony of proposals relating to the 2023 bidding process, following the promotion of 12 onshore blocks, located in the onshore basins of the Baixo Congo and Kwanza .

During the ceremony, and within the scope of Presidential Decree nº 86/18, of April 2nd, the proposals submitted by the various competitors were opened, which will now be subjected to a due diligence process, in order to determine the winning companies.

“Remember that ANPG has, from the 16th of November, a period of forty-five days to publish the results, containing the structure of the Contractor Groups for the concessions awarded”

The Secretary of State for Oil and Gas, José Barroso , who spoke at the opening of the event, stated in his speech that “with this Tender, we mark another safe step in the process of exploration and production of hydrocarbons in the onshore areas of the Lower Congo basins and Kwanza, attracting companies with proven experience and accumulated knowledge in the exploration of hydrocarbons in basins with recognized geological complexity”. The same official added that “this process will also stimulate the emergence of small and medium-sized oil companies, promote the incorporation of qualified Angolan labor, as well as encourage technological innovation and good governance practices. All these factors will contribute to mitigating the decline in production, increasing exploration and discovery of new resources.”

Christian Yates is a decent guy, he is quite big in the Green Energy sector.

This could be very interesting.

People didn’t think so at the time but last week was a gift, to by in at those prices.

The company has really progressed since the last time we were at that level.

I noticed this time they have given a more firm timeline for drill completion as well, probably to stop people getting impatient .

We just need to wait now, hopefully the company will give us some other bits and pieces of news while we wait?
