The biggest problem isn't the court case, it's simply the lack of films coming out due to delayed filming during the pandemic. There is about half the number of releases now, as opposed to before the pandemic. Obviously this is speeding up now, but it's looking less and less likely that cineword will be able to hang on to see this recovery. The court case is just a final kick in the nuts.
@tom231 hang in there buddy.
Some of my other stocks are down (e.g. Rolls Royce, lloyds, iag) but tbh i'm really not worried about those.
I feel I learned a great deal about investing as a result of the dip in 2020, if we have another one then hopefully i will be able to take my recently aquired knowledge and apply it. If i'm kind of honest I would like another dip so I can keep piling money in.
I think that i will invest it things that people can absolutely not do without. Computers and pharmaceuticals are great examples. I was looking at Apple shares the other day and realised if you had bought in the dip you would have 3x your money buy now and 2x for microsoft.
@Bzohdan same here. I made an absolute mistake here. I have two stains on my portfolio and this is the biggest . I can really only do two things now. 1) hope that by some miracle they survive. 2) learn from this
There is no point taking it personally it's best to be objective when it comes to things like this. The pandemic is passed the point where organisations are going to shell out loads of money on devices like this, simply because the vast majority of people are less worried than they were in winter. Think about it are you as worried about covid as you were ? Also i just don't see it being usefull in the World cup for the problems with mass testing that other people have mentioned, and i don't see countries like China and South Korea (SK is perfectly good at hanleing the pandemic) being willing to shell out the money for a Western made device.
I did have OD at one point lol I admire peoples optimism but you've got to be realistic at some point. The time has passed for covid stocks, which seems a shame because it's clearly a good product. I just don't see healthcare, private companies, anyone tbh buying it now.
I really think this will be back up to the 115 mark quickly. If you read the RNS, for me the main take away point is that GDR have laid the foundations for success, and now is a time to wait while the foundations are built on. Their product is fantastic and they have partnered with a giant to aid them in it's distribution. Just grit your teeth. GLA
Whatever it means he's a fkin' moron for tweeting that. Asif we needed mire bad news. Posh t w * t
I posted last evening about the need for some news this week and we have it. I truly believe odx will get the maximum (£374million) out of the contract as long as they can start producing them quick sharp. I think there will be one or two other RNS's this week. I also think people on here are forgetting about the overseas markets: covid has spread to every country in the world (Italy just announced a new lockdown), odx only need a handful of contracts with other countries to get there share price where we all want it to be. Also as someone else also posted on here "who isn't going to want to buy a test that the UK government have put their faith in?" GLA
yer i agree this will be a tense week. Despite the childish bickering that goes on, on this BB i think most people are on the same page and realise that some big news is really due this week. GLA
Also i thought we were supposed to be ditching innova they still have ~£1billion of awarded contracts at the end of last month. Geez this is why odx need to hurry up.
Despite the 30 days to publish being up last week, my gut said we wouldn't get any news until this week. If we haven't any really significant news by the end of this week i will be a little concerned.
Cheers TradesIn. So i just found the £503mill Surescreen contract on bidstats and it was announced on the 14th of FEB i.e. 6 days after the 8th. I really hope we find out the omega one this month, people keep saying testing will be around for ages but every day they don't get the news out is another day of significant SP rises missed. It sounds like odx's manufactoring capacity is similar to that of surescreen's so hopefully we can also expect a contract of around £500million.
evening fellow odx shareholders, i wonder if you would be able to clarify a few things for me. We learned on the 8th of Feb that Surescreen, Omega and Global Access Diagnostics were the three companies tasked with providing the DHSC with the LFTs. We are all waiting on news of the size of this contract with omega, but has either of the other two companies published how big their slice of the pie is yet? I did have a google, but i wasn't completely sure. The second question is of the £8 billion dynamic purchasing system tender, do we know how much of that is likely to go to the manufactures of LFTs?
OK, so i've been in omega 3 months or so now and i think if it is going to go big it's going to start to happen this week (and i think it will go big). There is great news about free tests for businesses, and there is great news about tests for schools, but even if i take away my vested interest and try and be impartial, it is completely ridiculous how much emphasis the BBC is putting on false +ves. If there is a 3/1000 chance of a false positive and you get a positive then the first and most obvious thing to do is simply do another motherfluffing test. 3/1000 * 3/1000 = 6/1000000 or get a pcr test. The quality of reporting on the BBC is really getting worse and no one values impartial reporting more than myself.
that's the spirit lol
