Are UK shipyards prepared to invest for the future?
UK shipbuilding urged to prove its competitiveness with inward investment.

The Belfast site has pledged a mix of commercial and naval contracts would be sought to sustain the business in the long term, and recently won deal for cruise ship maintenance and sustainment."

Wallace described the Harland & Wolff investments as being “really positive”, with the company “active and bidding in a number of contracts” and was “in a good place” for future successes."

Ben Wallace's comments on Harland and Wolff and the recent £55M contract definitely give people a reason to have confidence here imo

I for one have been very critical of Harl over the last 18 months, but the recent £55M MOD contract means that at an Mcap of under £19M this is extremely cheap. Never thought it would drop here but there has definitely been an element of game playing/shorting on a big scale going on here.
After those last 2 contract wins the SP should have been at at least 30p. It may still get there soon...

Well this certainly moved up quickly, I'm now leaning to this stock having been shorted quite heavily, today could be a mixture of people taking advantage of the cheap price and shorts starting to close imo

Price has ticked up slightly, can sell 8M for 0.057 now and up to 15M at 0.056 even though current bid is showing as 0.05. MM's will actually take up to 30M in one go at 0.051 ;))

Well it's definitely looking a bit healthier than of late when some were selling out at 0.045 the other week. Currently the MM's will take 15M at 0.056 and 25M at 0.051

A few decent buys today. Won't take much to get this moving from down here.
Whether we get news re a possible Technical Cooperation Agreement on a systematic mapping exercise for Lithium or news over in Ghana, it will certainly be very welcome for the SP at current levels.

Possibly swazers, but first we need to get rid of the sellers like the one who dumped nearly 20M shares at just 0.12p right at the end yesterday afternoon.

Just listened to the relevant bit around the question of placing, this is the full answer.....

"um as we go forward, um you know there's no imminent um placing planned um, but look you know debts at a certain price um we have to balance the two and we always have that option open to us um if the board think it's the right thing to do, um and I think because of all we've said with contracts coming in and growth um we're getting the company from zero um revenue getting to 500 million revenue there's going to be those pressures on debt and equity as we move forward so nothings on the table nothings off the table".....

Sounds like they're covering their backs as and when a placing does happen, not if but when from the language they are using.
