More heavy snow please......11 Dec 2017 12:05
https://af.reuters.com/article/energyOilNews/idAFL8N1OB22T ................................................................LONDON, Dec 11 (Reuters) - British wholesale natural gas prices rose on Monday morning as surging demand due to near-freezing temperatures left the system struggling to cope with gas shortages. * Within-day gas was up 4.55 pence, or 7.89 percent, at 62.25 pence per therm at 1021 GMT. At market open, the contract rallied more than 10 percent.
Ongoing outages affecting output from storage site Rough, Centrica's Morecambe gas field, and lower terminal flows via Teesside PX and Bacton Shell, added to the tight system. * Higher prices should draw more gas through the Interconnector UK linking Britain and Belgium in a bid to ease gas shortages, analysts and traders said. * The gas market was undersupplied by around 38 million cubic metres (mcm), with demand running 20 percent above seasonal average levels at 377 mcm/day and supplies estimated at 340 mcm/day, according to National Grid data.
