Could the new iPhone have Nanoco's sensors?22 May 2023 16:16
Not being a technophile, does anyone have any thoughts on this?
I ask because the original NIR material was the one Apple wanted to put into their phones. Apparently it was too expensive (or the design changed according to Nanoco) but there was obviously very strong interest back in 2019. Furthermore, that NIR material is supposed to be in production this year and reports are that the new iPhone will have a 3 stack image sensor which has been having yield problems (possibly consistent with the delay to Nanoco's production visibility). As a final point, reports say that the new iPhone sensor will capture lots more light than before, again consistent with what the NIR material can do.
