I have a feeling the placing was given the go ahead late Thursday soon after the Ministry Meeting (which I'm guessing must have awarded UFO with the drilling permits).
Makes sense to raise funds since we are about to be very active in Mexico.
Hence the sharp rise in SP from 15:30.

The traders that knew a placing was coming obviously shorted the stock. But when they realised yesterday that the new shares were going to Professional & Institutional investors, they went an a de-ramping rampage to get the RIs to sell.

For long-term investors, this is just noise as we wait for the good news to arrive and move on our journey.
As a company we are now funded to maximise on our opportunities as we head into the PM & Base Metals bull market.

I personally think it's best to keep things in the open.

Hi Neil, I'm all good mate.
I strongly believe the MMs had oversold and have been running short of stock hence the need for them to push for a placing, to essentially bail them out.
One thing I have learnt from constantly being on this website is that there are a lot of people claiming to be shareholders, but are in actual fact shorters.
As soon as we get some decent news, we will re-rate very fast due to the lack of stock.
At least we are now well funded to fast-track activities, which will mean a fast-tracking of RNSs :)

And as you say if "all placing stock has been sold" shouldn't the price go up since the new shares are going to Professional & Institutional investors.
Hence the need to urge IPs to sell.

Hi Steve. My account wouldn't quote me for 1.5M all day.
Normally I can get quotes for 2-3M.

But I have found it to be like this on a lot of days since the 23rd Oct. Prior to that I had no problems with 2M+ quotes. I can tell they are short. When they let it go, it will re-rate fast.

Hopefully they will give us a nice nugget, but it will probably just be formalities of re-electing directors and receive the audited financial statements for last year.

I don't think Bill and the Non-exec Directors are looking at the day today charts.
All the traders saw that a huge green candle was about to form! But the BOD didn't know.

The MMs were desperate for stock as especially evidenced by Thurs & Friday's trading.

Last week (after 12/11/20 RNS was released) they offered the BOD £2.5M of funds, so of course they accepted.

The money will be used for advancing & fast-tracking the activities which will lead to a fast-tracking of RNSs.

It will give us a higher percentage in the JV deals, so will be beneficial for the long-term.

I believe £2.5M is nothing compared to the benefit we will get from bringing our high-grade projects up the value curve.
