@smiller, Brockman mining own the main Sirius Deposit to the East of our Sirius Extension and they have been aggressively buying smaller tenements.
Hanc0ck Prospecting is to the north of our Sirius Extension and the Sirius Extension passes into their tenement.

I mooted a few months back, that I thought this might possibly be a good option to sell the Sirius Extension, then use the proceeds to fund development of the rest of Hanc0ck and Brockman. Options are there. Just got to take it step by step.

@HH, you say, "BHP being below $15/t isn't wrong, but may be of little relevance to UFO". It's actually highly relevant with regards to a JV.

In TP's 2/12/20 Research Note it stated that one of our neighbouring mines included the Hamersley-Channar iron ore mine. It was a 60:40 Rio Tinto JV which produced total of 290M tonnes and is expected to close next year (ended it's mine life).

And our costs should be much lower than Fenix's.
Firstly, our DSO is at surface (so essentially free dig!).
Secondly, Fenix trucking 490km by road to Geraldton Port! UFO only 170-180km by road to Port Hedland, so less than half the haulage costs of Fenix.

@Steveiom, Howard Baker (who did the Mineral Resource Estimation for Rio Tinto’s Brockman sites) has started putting together our 1st JORC for Sirius, due September.

As the previous SOTP valuation Research Note stated, discovering deposits and advancing them to resource estimate stage will be the key driver behind any valuation uplift for the company.

Plus as Bill said in the June Presentation, anther option is to get a big large cheque for the Sirius Extension deposit. The options are there and now we are about to crack on with a 2nd JORC with Phase 3.

Plus as Bill stated in the interview today: “Tens of kilometres that are completely untested. Much bigger potential. Bigger than what we have already defined and found!”

BTW, I am also in favour of a JV, but as long as the Major's time frame to production is relatively quick (so we can get revenue in asap). But until then, yes we just work up the projects and keep our options open ;)

@Chrisatbirdies, The capital set up costs of a small DSO operation are relatively very low (offtake agreements also help). We then keep 100% of the profit.

A JV means diluting the project instead.

Rio Tinto just released their 2021 unit cost guidance = $18.0-$18.5 per tonne (previously $16.7-17.7).
BHP’s just released their 2021 unit cost = just £14.82/tonne!

Bill said in the presentation last year that they will do what will provide maximum return for shareholders.
But IMO, starting a DSO operation can mean a highly profitable revenue source within 20 months, rather than having to wait for a major to bring into production (which we can do with Brockman).

Looks like our exploration target will be revised upwards (as Turner Pope previously stated it might following the results from drilling due to the discovery of several kilometres of BIF ridges back in Sept/Oct when SP shot up).
