Nothing new to report regarding my latest interactions with the Takeover Panel unfortunately.

No breach has been triggered and in addition they 'would expect the company to honour' their recently RNS'd statement that ''anyone who has already voted doesn’t need to take any further action if their stance is unchanged - their existing vote will remain in place''.

I don't know about anyone else on here but as far as 'honour' is concerned I would say that the use of that word in the same sentence concerning anything the Shanta Board are currently doing would be an utter joke!!???

All we can do now it would seem is to prepare to get royally f8cked over!!!!!! 😡🤬😡🤬

(I doubt anyone on here would vote through a T/O at 18p! I sure as sh8t haven't been invested here for 10 years now for 18p a share!!! 😡🤬😡)

I'd be 'happy' to get at least half my initial investment back at the moment, so long as it's soon.

That way I can plough it all back into GGP, which at the currently suppressed sp over there would give me almost another 500k more shares than when I first sold some to invest over here, as was always the plan.

Would have been nice to have seen the 'massive payday' that some have alluded to, however if we get taken out 'on the cheap' for anything over £1.75 a share, though far from ideal, would be a bit of a relief.

I realise that there are a lot of LTHs who have been invested here for decades and they would have my fullest sympathies, as would those still U/W.

In the meantime let's see if they can 'pull a rabbit out of a hat' but not holding my breath! 😔

I've emailed Tom Grace at the Takeover Panel again tonight as I cannot believe that this behaviour isn't in breach of the Takeover Code somewhere ?!?!?

As before, I will report back once I get a response.

Just had a chat with Tom Grace (really nice pleasant guy!) and whilst he was very sympathetic to our current predicament unfortunately they only get involved with the actual application of the Takeover Code and unless there has been a clear breach of some aspect of the Code they are unable to assist further.

He did however say that he had already spoken to the NOMAD and made them aware of the complaint received about the lack of clarity around the validity of the votes that we have been asked to cast.

Other than that nothing more to add, other than I did say I'd report back here so that they wouldn't receive any further enquiries concerning aspects of the take-over attempt that they couldn't get involved with.

Email just received from Tom Grace at the Takeover Panel, who wants me to 'call him to discuss'

(Not too keen to respond to me in writing for some reason it seems?)

Well my email finally sent (far to long to publish here) but will report back if anything comes from it.

(I basically just ran through all of the past posts on here since the 'offer' announced and pulled out the main gripes and bullet pointed them. There was a lot of it so whether he'll read it all I don't know?)

I'm sure when you email him you'll do a far better job than me, but so long as he takes on board what our gripes are (and acts upon them) it's all good.

(However being a 'regulator' I won't be holding my breath! 🤨)

I am intending to call/email Tom Grace later to day (as invited) to voice our concerns.

If anyone could let me have the details of the main points/facts that I should be raising with him concerning this attempt by the Patels to rob us of future fair value for our holdings I'd be most grateful (as it would save me trawling through the chat board for these details)

Correction - The actual Meeting is April 4th

Cut off date is the 29th April

Same with HL, but this one is for an 'Extraordinary General Meeting on the 29/4'!?

Thank you for your email. We note the joint announcement this morning made by Shanta and Saturn (available here) which, among other things, postpones the Shanta shareholder meetings to 04 April and the proxy deadline to 02 April.

Make sure you take the time to vote again as better to be safe than sorry!
