Correct me if I'm wrong but the 2nd site was rejected by the planning officer in the appeal that was subsequently shut down by the council. Sajid Javid has not only overruled one, the 2nd site could now also be approved. Has this been misinterpreted by people thinking it was 1 out of 2 when really it was only 1 out of 1 if solely based on the planning officer's decision. Might explain the drop IMO.
According to the North Yorkshire County Council website they will hear from those opposing first then those in support, which would explain why it seems biased at the moment.
