This has all the signs that Mather, Irwin and Sangha are driving this...

Theres a simple logic to 100% ownership of Cascabel, but the merger dilutes BHP and NCM to just over 10% each.

So if they don't move before the merger completes, someone like Mitsui taking a 6.7% stake (or even more if they've been quietly buying in the market in the last couple of weeks) could open the way to a contested takeover.

I still predict that the final takeout could be a minimum 75/80p and even up to my original suggestion of 100/200p...

Its exactly because of the impending market crash that I believe this is being accelerated by those 'movers and shakers' to a swift and highly profitable conclusion...

This is NOT a defensive merger in my opinion, but Nick's penultimate hurrah as he sails away into a DGR sunset...

It also looks to me like a couple of fairly chunky bed and breakfasts have gone through today...

It feels to me like there is strength in this share...a slow but steady rise, which might accelerate as the week goes on...

While the Industrial Metals sector has gone pretty much nowhere since early August, we have seen SOLG climb steadily since last Thursday...

Now were into the 17s with the next target being 17.50 then 19p with little resistance after that into the 20s again.

If there is a deal to buy the 6.7% in the background it will begin to leak soon, if not already, hence the solid steady buying and the increase in bargain size...

I'm still hopeful that the stake will be sold at a price in the 20s and that will kickstarted not only the SP but also renewed bid speculation...

Then get the merger closed off and expect some fireworks...

It's been a long time coming but I feel were coming into a long home straight now...

And there is no way Nick or CGP would settle for a price less than 75/80p which could be very much higher if an auction develops like Norint. There should certainly be more than w partiescseriously interested in SOLG.

And equally there is no way Sangha, Irwin or Mather would settle for months more drift like the last several months.

It's coming!

I can't see why gthe last part wouldn't be possible SM provided it was before the CGP vote.

But in the menatime, I am expecting that there will have been more than just Mitsui interested in the 6.7% which, as you implied, sorts out our liquidity for at least another 6/8 months IMO...

Surely we won't have to wait another week for the share sale to be completed...and why not at 25p...or more...?

You're also forgetting that the Alpala Committee was established specifically to "get the PFS sorted", led primarily by Keith, Nick and Ingo, together with Leah who, when the job was finished was sacked...by Darryl...
