I've just informed the missus that I bought just under £3k worth of COPL shares at an average of 0.26. She is only slightly less clueless about shares than me but I'm getting the feeling that we might do ok with after HSBC's investment!!! Really excited but no matter what I plan on holding for at least 2 years. Good luck all as it's obvious many of you have life changing amounts coming your way if this really explodes. If it went to 1p I would be ecstatic.
I think I may have got lucky as I was able to top up @ £20.18. Very confident going forward and certainly not panicking.
??
I presume it's wrong but why is Google showing a 0.34 sp at 16.45?
Frustrating. Definitely not looking to sell looking for an exact live price and HL 'unable to proceed with transaction'. What are my fees for?
Cawcaw, many thanks. My portfolio contains mainly exploratory companies who's current share price means that are barely in existence but it's worth a punt and it only takes one of them to strike gold so to speak.
It's in the 'When oil hits $70' thread where a couple of people cawcaw and guitar mention the term dilution. I've obviously got the wrong end of the stick.
Hi all. I am a very small investor who merely picked the bottom 8 lowest share mining companies and bought a modestnumber of shares in each. It is genuinely a bit of fun for myself so you can imagine it's quite a meagre amount compared to some. I have read with interest some of the recent comments and am asking if there will be a share dilution in the coming days? If so will that lower the share price (like it did for Rolls Royce for example) and allow me purchase more at a reduced price as a current share holder?
Ok thanks . Seems like you could do with a decent drink!
Fascinating to read and thanks for the insight. I'm new to shares and bought at 17.50 so pretty happy atm but regarding your analysis would the highs exceed your current forecasts if for argument sake the lowest figure in this wave is 19.50 - 20?
I am new to shares so can somebody please advise. What date will the share release come into effect? I remember RR went from 220p to about 35p literally overnight. Is it late February?
I saw what happened with the RR share dilution and the stock plummeting overnight to roughly 35p from £2.20 when the new shares were released. Does anyone know what is the date the new shares start trading?
We've just agreed the most important trade deal in recent history and the stock grows a whopping 2.5%. Johnson confirming it may increase it slightly but as my subject says, I'm personally dissapointed. (I bought at 90p).
I think it's due to new rules on MP's being able to ask question in Parliament hence making it far easier. May be a sign a deal is in the offing regarding brexit and it's the only way to make the debate inclusive.
Does anyone know what time the statement is tomorrow?
Now that is what I like to hear!!!!!!
I'm certainly not rich but I recently took voluntary redundancy after 20 years so I got a fair pay off. I bought RR and have made £10k. To me that's amazing but I honestly think it could hit £2 by this time next year so I'm holding out for what for me is a fortune. Sleepless nights for 12 months!!!

My concern is a brexit announcement. I'm tempted to take what for me would be a big profit (bought at 68p, sold at 128p.....re bought at 90p including the profit ftom the original trade). BUT as you say - will there be a drop? I literally pray there is a brexit deal and if I sell hoping to re buy at a lower price, I could miss the boat of a big spike. My gut cannot see there being no deal in the current circumstances, even if an interim deal is announced. Ahhhh I'm going to sleep on it.
Deary me am I delighted today. Stay patient people. 2021 will be a goid year for RR.
Sorry, 'trying' to make a quick buck early on.
Hi there. I have just started trading and made the same mistake of making a quick buck early on. I bought RR at 68p and sold at 128, then re bought at 90p and sold at 115. I have now re bought at 109p late yesterday. Sounds great I know but pure luck more than judgement and I'm now comfortably in the black. However, I'm sitting on RR and not selling. I genuinely believe that given 1 year they will hit 190p - 200p again. A national institution company, with safe government contracts. A great international reputation and financial streamlined to get through tbe winter. Then imo the only way is up. Good luck to everyone.
