The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
*In the voice of Comic Book Guy* - Worst takeover ever!
As far I can see those articles are written by an algorithm! ;D
Of course the 'cash burn' is up. ODX have been paying more staff and setting up more production capacity! What we need to know now is if that in turn yielded higher cash flows.
It was never straightforward and with the Mexican delay it is even less so now. Brokers still seem to still have a cut-off date but that is more so they can give information to the takeover panel. Should be an interesting week.
Agree, 42p is the baseline price here. The only risk is that the deal isn't approved (very unlikely but I did vote against it) and the price will find new highs!
Everyone thinks that they can do better in other stocks and good luck to them! If there is more weakness in the price hereI might add a few shares just to get the little uplift to 42p.
@mr c Thats how I see it. Not impossible but very low risk with a lower limit at the 67.5p offer. The only real complication for the worst case scenario (75% to 90% delisting), I see is you may have to pay some capital gains tax IF Genfang buy you out for a significantly higher price.
I've pretty much decided not to take the deal. Even if they get over 75% (but under 90%) and we are delisted and remain as a minority shareholders, I suspect that Ganfeng will aim to eventually buy people out. This is of course more of a gut feeling I have due to how underprice I believe this deal is.
I've been researching possible outcomes and there is certainly a wide range of potential hurdles and uplifts. I have seen comments that someone has lost everything but I haven't found mechanisms how this is undertaken by a nelfarious corporation.
Any views/resourses form anyone here which could cast some light?
*Jan 2022
Quite possible. But FXPO is way cheap even at lower Iron ore prices.
Same average here and also I didn't sell anything at the last top (opps). If they can maintian/grow the current cash flow and sort out the 3 remaining spin-out there is a lot of value to unlocked here. If I find myself with a bit of free cash, I don't think there are much safer bets over the 2-3 than ORPH.
What a pointless (and scaremongering ;P) thread!
@ Aquae Thanks for being the voice of reason here. ORPH is far more than a Covid stock. I expect the good cashflows to continue whether it is in a vaccine challenge study or any other sort of medication. Long term hold here.
What benefit would it be to remove the CEO?
If you are unhappy with the company's progress, why don't just sell your shares and move on?
Yeah, very unlikely small shareholders won't be covered with this buy back. Nothing is no risk but this is a low risk buy if you are happy for a minimum uplift to 42p.
5p under the offer price so was probably a bit rash. But if you having better places to put the cash then good on you. I'm going see the price acts over the next few days/weeks. The offer price should act as a bit of a magnet and you never know, maybe one of the big iis will push for a higher buyout price?
'Who would sell their shares for 42p?'
Bit annoyed at another BoD or think that they can treat their shareholders like sh*t! But I bought in at an average of 20p, so can't grumble. Wasn't planning on being a LT holder but did have a target of 60p in mind. Fingers crossed that the offer has to be raised! ;)
@jam Yeah, I saw the RNS. I am just getting the feeling that insiders know that something is up here. I don't think they are getting to 75%.
@hedgefun There are a lot of folks who got in here thinking they were going to get a quick profit. It's understandable that these ST thinking people would be want to dump on a spike! I'm expecting a fair bit of price resistance as the good news starts to flow. I still see 400m as a fair price for this company, pretty undervalued at the moment.
First signs that something isn't going right for Ganfeng and the BoD on this deal?
Still might be, just hold on to your shares..... They need the asset and that isn't going anywhere!
Chased ii up. Seems part of the problem is they can't get information from my prevoius broker EQi (god, they were rubbish). Fingers crossed that I get some joy in the coming weeks. Planning on trying my first claim (for 2020 and 2021) in Jan 2021.
Oh btw john, I'm not having a pop at you. Thanks for flagging. Been a bit of an irritating week (not just BCN! ;D) all around!
