Re people saying that the PR/IR company aren't responding - this is complete fantasy. I had a response within the hour. As I said yesterday, it was a pointless exercise in many respects, but dont believe the BS.

Hi fly, it's been confirmed by the company that they are not dependent on the dry season for the drill mobilisation. Theres a nice new road that passes the ch1 site.

GS, Max, I think a target month for drill would be best . We need to see some clear progress to give confidence and I think even a week without could see the SP drop back a bit after a little peak. They can then talk about seismic to keep things going and in a perfect world KN receivables and approvals. Surely not?

Hi Max, glad to see your spirits are better.

A spud date should follow soon after if not with the farm-out completion RNS. That's when the fun will start. If the previous RNS' are to be believed the spud date shouldn't be too far off.

@sonsofgwalia, if you wait for ch-1 then I think there's quite a high chance you'd be selling yourself short at 4p. I think it may settle there after the spike that will happen leading up to results after a (hopefully) successful drill. The gas is there so risk is low other than technical issues and they understand the pressures in place and wont skimp on the drill this time. The deeper target is another huge prospect even if a low CoS. Chance of oil is low in commercial quantities, but all adds to a perfect recipe. One thing to consider amongst my ramping is they have talked about partnering with a revenue generating company. That will come at a cost.

I took out a loan to average down a while back at 0.49p and 0.79p. Not a wise thing to do but so glad I did now. I not only thought I might be losing the lot, but also be left with a 15k loan to pay back! So glad to see this finally happen :)

That's a very positive interpretation of 'fluid'. Moving, but in any direction is probably the message to take from that ie still none the wiser.

Who gives a toss about what the MMs do for now. This is all about sign off of the farm-out.

It is a good point, but they did say this:

'It is acknowledged by all parties that the full work programme is unlikely to be completed during this extension period and the Company will therefore apply for an additional extension(s) as necessary and as permissible under the current legislation.'

Dunder, please help with my understanding but I thought that the operator pays for operations and claims back the money from the partners and also gets paid for gas and distributes that to the partners. Therefore any disputes would need to be dealt with between the operator and the partners and the government doesn't really need to worry. If a partner fails to pay the operator or breaks the contract in any way then the operator has the right to take action against the partner. APT will be making all of the planning decisions whilst keeping the JV's informed and maybe taking advice, but the final operational decisions will always be the operators and hence their responsibility. Is that not right?

Not at all Buckler. The government isn't interested in the JV partners really. It's the operator who pays the bills and takes responsibility if a JV partner is unable to finance etc. It really makes no difference who they are.

That would explain the lack of communication.

I very much doubt the government will have their hand forced before the election unless that was always their plan. More likely there will be another 'last' extension based on reassurance given. I doubt APT are even expecting/hoping much more than to try and open up more senior dialogue within government with this. With Santos' background I'd imagine simply saying you have 15 days or it's off is not the full picture/plan.

Agree Dunder, although not sure if they have had much opportunity to be entrepreneurial yet. Maybe if there is a partnering after farmout we might see some in the make-up of the deal. They've been pretty decisive around cutting costs and giving the company the best chance of 'lasting it out'. Shame these guys weren't here much sooner when there was money in the bank and sentiment was good.
