After two days of warnings from the Met office placing where I live in the yellow then orange and finally into a red warning zone, eventually just getting a few gusts of strong wind.
I hear the area, for want of a better phrase was in a 'sweet spot', missing virtually all the worst of the storm. Meaning my flippant comment was out of order after seeing the damage done to thousands of people, homes, workplaces, and the environment etc.
I apologise to any here who have been affected and hope they can get their lives back to normal as soon and painlessly as possible.
