Let me first say no way do I wish the corona flu on anybody in any country anywhere at anytime. The cold fact of reality is, it's here, live and spreading rapidly.
I phoned Portsmouth CC, they own and operate the intercontinental ferry port, asking if they have or intend to get any advanced fever detection scanners.
Short and abridged answers were no and no.
Although they couldn't grasp I was asking specifically about scanners, not coronavirus, even after being transferred to the right dept, the best they could recommend was looking on Public Health England's website which, I found, offered no answers to my questions.
The reasoning for my asking was after reading some African countries buying these scanners, yet not hearing anything about GB doing the same.
I was assured that scanners were in the major airports of Gatwick, Heathrow and Manchester. That's it.
No ports,
With harsh facts and commerciality of life, we can see should the worse, or near worse, come to be there's plenty of opportunity for Wsg to shift some scanners.
I'd rather we took the hit financially, and have no reason to sell scanners.
I now have, beside my wife, half of PCC thinking I'm a hypochondriac.
After she told me that, I went to the Doc's for some pills, I was disgusted when he said I didn't need any. I intend to set up a blog site for fellow suffers...
as soon as I'm well enough.
