They allocated 21 days estimate for rig costs. They maxed out TD of rig in 11 days and discovered the gas pay zone kept going requiring a deeper drill to establish how big the discovery is.

Fortunately HEX has more than double the cash it needed for both drill sites.

Have you ever seen a CEO who happens to be an expert in this particular field and having used his own money for the assets to be sort of buzzing under the reported circumstances. He needs to extend the drilling it’s stamped all over his face and the clues have been released already.

His next step I believe will be to make an announcement such as following data diagnostics we will believe it is necessary to extend the well to capture the full extent of the gas column on offer in order to determine full reservoir size and gas volume. The full capacity of the reservoir cannot be determined until we reach a new TD that encapsulates the full gas layer that we now know extends beyond initial prognosis of the Cambrian basin. We need to explore the full extent of the basin to evaluate how large the reservoir actually is; the first rig reached its full capacity and we need much deeper.

Yep it looks like they are revising initial expectations and extending them, to the upside in volume and gas type to include a large hydrogen deposit.
