(Sharecast News) - Telecommunications testing firm Spirent said full-year profits were expected to be in line with expectations after a strong fourth quarter driven by work on 5G infrastructure.
The company on Monday said revenue grew by 4% to $522m and adjusted operating profit was forecast to be in line with market consensus "which represents strong earnings growth over 2019".

Spirent added that it was reviewing its cash position against the future outlook and investment opportunities and would return any money deemed excess to shareholders.

Adjusted operating margin has increased to almost 20% from 18% in 2019, Spirent said in a trading statement.

Cash closed at $241m, with high conversion driven from continued strong working capital management.

Fats, same here but my entry was badly timed. Tempted in by no stamp duty. Glad to see turnaround and rises yesterday allowed me to lighten up. Still have 600 now average £23.40 .

Live and learn for next foray into the unknown. I entered too soon by a day or so, but will trade to improve.

Smacks of greed and gambling, esp on already volatile stock.

High risks, high rewards. If your risk profile suits that type of trade then GL.

IMHO this is just adding to the speculative bubble, which will pop when least expected. Scrambling to cover margin calls will exacerbate falls and be contagious.

Meanwhile RR. (as a holder of 25+ years) is in a good place. I remain a buyer on dip opportunities & while airline recovery starts to take hold.

But seriously x3 anything is asking for trouble if the market moves against you. Some will make a fortune but most will not.
