There is a place in most portfolios for a little bit of VOD particular if you started investing at or towards £1 or lower. Dividends, more controlled movements than say ARB. Not very sexy but good to trade and pick up a free allocation. I generally work up to 20k shares in 6k tranches, wait for my entry and exit and aim to build up a core over time for free.

FTSE cannot even get close to previous high 7903 intraday from 22 May 18 while Europe and US hit new all time records. What a dog it is. The Nasdaq is deciding whether to roll over or consolidate, certainly not new highs, while rotation of tech profits into the value stocks with the trillions of savings with no alternative but stocks. All pinned on the ragged recovery of sorts abd the promise of good times ahead.. There will be a reality check sometime (but when is anyone's guess). Still looks like buy the dips and grinding higher is what is happening for now At least in the US. Until the music stops! A good shake out is what is needed to rebuild strongly. My gut says take some cash off the table but the lure of the seemingly easy money is tempting. I started building up cash a few days ago. May miss out on a bit but certainly being more selective at the moment. Take care, enjoy the ride and cmon VOD we want 140p+ ??.

Try 118/120 up to 135/7 is more likely to work at the moment. Be patient Patient.

Should move up as the float approaches on the 18th.

Whenever I am out of this stock it goes up a few £s. It is one which I say, I sold out too early. Like TATE, like DNLM.

This time I am in until it moves up and will add if it retreats.

I target £15 minimum and higher. Dividend 2% could be better but nice when it arrives. More than I would get with the same money in a fixed rate bond.

Why not buy both? They do not move in tandem necessarily.

No bid, no certainty. Price will move. I wish I had exited at 435 & 420 a few days back but still I only have a small holding to add to as the porice goes down. If it shoots up at least I will have some upside.

Hardly stagnant unless trapped at much higher levels. I had a whale of a time with this between sub £8 up to and pass £11.00. I love the way it cost down or up 50p in minutes when someone buys 300 shares.
At some point it will retrun to former glory / or a bid, but I am wary of a repeat of the drubbing late October / November last year.
It was this drubbing that brought it into view for my and the opportunity was taken.

I hope it storms ahead for holders tomorrow, but if it tanks I am in.

When I buy I hold until my exit price is reached (no matter how long)
I used to exit only to see the SP of the stock just sold in haste, recovered and significantly higher.
I am happy making 20% on a stock within a year.

Don't get me wrong, next day, week or month is always welcome though.

Indeed it is -tucked away in an ISA safely.

Dividends - price rises - price falls over the next years

Long term will pay for itself and potential for tax free gains (if in ISA)

I expect around £3 in dividends over the next 4 years.

Sub £12 - less £3 =£9 - unlikely to fall below that really, more likely to be +30% from here.

This will start with £15 sometime this year.

Dithered today, was going to add more around 906 and 908 but had a business meeting to go to. I have enough in this already but so tempting, so tasty.

the Board needs to go if they cannot extract value that outsiders are happy to pay.

In many cases, companies state the offer undevalues the company as a defence against the takeover. This boosts the share price (if it is a credible claim by the BoD) and knocks down the bid premium leverage leaving the incumbant management in position.

Markets obviously believed the offer was credible and boost to 176 on the day.

I am tucking away and adding on drops.
