Are you thinking bid of just the oil price spike today.

It seems to be gaining more than just oil. the spike to 265 and then back to 256 and steadily climbing since is getting me excited.

Will trim and have my trailing stops in place.

Late to the party as usual. A safe face note if ever there was one.

So if I have read this correctly, Berenberg have a hold on the stock while they await confirmation that the 2023 numbers can be achieved.

They note that AVON can make the numbers,. The market has already given it's verdict.

I guess that Berenger will issue a STRONG buy note once the earnings will be delivered.

I despair reading brokers notes after an event. More believable if they could be ahead of the curve.

FWIW I have sunk too much in this and am underwater but happy to hold for as long as necessary.

My post Wed 15:42 illustrated as example of buying at 211 selling at 336, leave a holding averaging 86p (NB that is below the 120p you queried).

It really is that straightforward.

I arrived at my current average though 40+ trades throughout the year, having bought dips and sold spikes along the way. My average unfortunately is not 86p :). Now that would have been exceptional timing.

Hopefully the penny has dropped now,

It should be self explanatory really.

A volatile share gives great opportunities. I will assume that dig was not at me as many here are aware of my trading method. If you care to look back on my threads you will see that I buy hold and average down. Those who know me will know my posts are accurate and helpful and on many occasions informative.

As regards my stated averages and trades the method I have used has averaged my cost down to the averages stated in my posts today. By all means take it with a pinch of salt but will be able to vouch to the accuracy of my posts.

I have a holding 40k shares at 119p average through effective trading.

These moves used to be the norm for the tightly traded stock. Hopefully some substance and hold on until £12 and then up up and away.

I am hoping for a bid well North of £20.

336.50 lol not 3365 [I wish!] and some 320 plus

Quite easily really, buy and trade the tranches reducing the average cost as I go.

Purchases from 211 (Jun 20) Sales up to 3365 the highest 320 plus

Even picked up more around 200 a few weeks back.

Amazing how effective it works 47 trades in a year.

Beats holding and with WG. works a treat.

Gaining direction at last. IMO should be higher and dividend resuming in due course. What is not to like!

Looks like the market had a rethink from the initial reaction and caught up with us.

Clearly a recovery stock on offer at bargain prices still.

Plenty of va va voom still here in the next 6 months.
