Director dealings: EasyJet non-exec invests

(Sharecast News) - EasyJet was on the list of director buys on Thursday, after it disclosed a purchase made by a non-executive director for more than 5,000 shares.

The low-cost airline said Ryanne van der Eijk picked up 5,478 shares on 26 July, in a single transaction on London Stock Exchange.

It said van der Eijk paid 453p for each share, valuing the transaction at a total of £24,815.34.

International Consolidated Airlines Group is scheduled to report results for the second quarter on Friday. Here's what you need to know:

REVENUE FORECAST: Analysts at UBS forecast second-quarter revenue of around 7.8 billion euros ($8.65 billion) for the airline group, compared with reported revenue of EUR5.92 billion for the same period in 2022.

EBIT FORECAST: Earnings before interest and taxes for the second quarter are expected to be EUR233 million, UBS said, compared with EUR293 million for the year-prior period.

NET INCOME FORECAST: Net income for the second quarter is forecast to be EUR699 million, according to UBS analysts, compared with EUR133 million for the second quarter of 2022.

WHAT TO WATCH:

--GUIDANCE: The UBS analysts expect IAG to update their 2023 adjusted operating profit guidance range which is currently above EUR2.3 billion.

A lot of people would be horrified at 102p only. HAve a nice low average here so I would be delighted with 70/80p. 102p would be the cherry on the top.

I remember when it used to be called global warming until it cooled and now climate change cannot be challenged.

I even noted that Christine Le Garde shoehorned Climate change into her ECB presser at 1345 today.

She must get a bonus for mentioning it.

The news covered that most of the fires were started deliberately and that did not suit the narrative of fields igniting due to 45 degree heat.

Perhaps there should be better responses services. I feel for more for the plane that crashed killing 3 while fighting the fire on an arsonist. Guess no charges will come of that.

I heard nothing but oozing confidence and higher than inflation contract % increases locking in at improved rate of closures.

They worked hand in hand with US to reinstate routes and both parties work together - we provide the drivers you do the route and have strongly increase hiring with improved wages in and this trend will continue.

I think they will exceed the range once the contract fly in.
